22 Handgun

I am a big fan of the Ruger Mark's. I currently have a Mark 3 Hunter with a NcStar green dot. we all know how they do.
I just picked up a S&W M&P22. Took it out today for the first time. It is a great gun, worked with any junk ammo I put in it. It is a full size gun, same size as the M&P 9mm. If you are looking for a 22LR pistol give it a look.

Did you shoot it for accuracy at all Mark? I'm not expecting, esp. with "junk" ammo, that it would be "sub-MOA all day long if you do your part" (although if you were claiming that, I'd be inclined to believe it, because I've read about your exploits). But if you feed it decent stuff, and shoot it from a rest on a bench, would it hold 1" groups at 25y maybe?

Sounds like an intriguing, economical way to practice with a rig very similar to one's carry pistol.

BOhio,

I just wanted to get the sights close to zero. It is for my Daughter, will final zero with her. I was shooting steel and it was keeping them tight. I was just seeing what it liked and would feed. I did run a few mags of CCI Mini mags, looks like it would shoot close to my Mark 3. I did not shoot it off a rest, just off hand. I ran a few mags of mixed ammo, it ran everything. It ran CCI Pistol that my M3 will not eject some times. I don't see open sights like I used to ( I have a dot on my M3 ). I say it would hold 1" at 25yds with good ammo. I did get this for my Daughter to trail and step up to a 9mm.

It's been a loooooong time since there was any posting about 22 handguns. At least, any I can find on this forum. If there is any place in particular to look? I'd appreciate being directed there. THANKS.
