I was aware of the PayPal problems but I missed the part of the Boss saying if you do, you will be "booted".Believe the forum boss warned of not using PayPal on here or you will get booted.

Only for gun purchases I thought.Believe the forum boss warned of not using PayPal on here or you will get booted.
Forum Boss: PayPal Friends & Family is NEVER to be used for sales of ANY goods and services. That applies to everything, not just here.
PayPal regular with FEES is OK for most sales, but NOT Guns and Ammunition and various undefined gun products. I don't think its wise to use PayPal for powder, primers, and bullets as that could be considered "ammunition".
You never know whos pocketbook youre cheering for the loss of. People have jumped from buildings for less than what i lost in the last weekPay Pal lost 25 per cent of its stock value yesterday
yippeeeee.
Great point, thanks for the insights. I think there are those that are trying to deal with these roadblocks. Hopefully they succeed, no need to discuss the details but I’ve been watching and reading and I hope it happens.@nakneker: It would be a long row to hoe. Google, Amazon, Microsoft and the like own all of the big cloud service/provider platforms. They have shut down access to folks like Parler in the recent past just because they could and there is nothing anyone can do about that.
If that weren't bad enough, the on and off ramps to the Internet are owned by telecom companies like AT&T, Verizon and etc. who have expressed their political leanings.
So, even if you built your own datacenter to handle the volume at scale you could easily be denied access or reliable access to the Internet.
And, if you did manage to overcome that then you have the banks deal with They've also shown a willingness to deny loans and credit card processing for firearms-related businesses.
Most people have no idea how much is controlled or easily influenced by groups unfriendly to to the firearms industry and peripheral businesses.
The folks we all think should be watching out for this kind of imbalance have been very busy doing something else.

GuntabI’ve said it for years and I’ll say it again. As soon as a Conservative party with money starts a version of paypal, FG, IG and the like they will experience a huge jump in membership and success, there are so many of waiting. Seems like everything is owned and operated by the far left, thats need to stop and there’s an opportunity waiting for the right party with a vision.
i thought the same thing. pension funds, mutual funds, individual investors... although paypal is in the wal-mart league (a company we all love to hate) and i personally booted them to the curb after reneging on a scam transaction 'guarantee' they were making money for lots of folks - if only indirectly. You never know whos pocketbook youre cheering for the loss of.
does anyone else remember the dual posting on 'service' stations signs.... cash vs charge price? the service has never been free.We think the vendor absorbs that fee but anyone in business knows the cost is passed on in part or whole to the customer.
If both parties agree to transfer funds using the non-commercial "Friends and Family" feature with "NO COMMENTS" ... then it's just two buddies swapping money. The problem occurs when somebody writes "Eotech Scope for Barrett MRAD", or "224 Valkyrie AR-15", or something definitively gun-related that all the alarms trigger. I use PayPal all the time, but make absolutely certain the buyer uses "F&F / No-Comments", and understands why I do that. Also ... I ALWAYS transfer immediately and NEVER keep a balance in my PayPal account, so that if something goes wrong, they freeze $0 and I don't care. I think their firearms policy sucks too, but instead of boycotting, I've chosen to exploit them and work around their anti-gun policies. No matter how you slice it, PayPal is still the easiest and least "hackable" way to transfer money ... IF you do it right.I just got off the phone with Pete of Pete’s Pillar’s. I had ordered a few CZ parts and had paid with Paypal on his site. Parts arrived last week with no issues.
Pete called today to tell me Paypal has now froze his account and will hold his funds for 6mo (and can liquidate) because he sells firearms parts! He still could refund the purchase so he did and I reordered using a Credit Card. He won’t ship but does get paid for his wares. Glad to help him out.
Paypal is NEVER an option for firearms related transactions even when a vendor says they take it, they can get caught and things go poorly.
So, it's OK to screw PayPal out of a few $$$ by using "Friends and Family" BUT, when they turn around and get YOU, you squeal??PayPal Friends & Family is NEVER to be used for sales of ANY goods
Norcal Mikie Forum boss inserted that in my post. I NEVER use paypal.Forum Boss: PayPal Friends & Family is NEVER to be used for sales of ANY goods and services. That applies to everything, not just here.
People in general. NOT directed at you personally.Norcal Mikie Forum boss inserted that in my post. I NEVER use paypal.
