I just got off the phone with Pete of Pete’s Pillar’s. I had ordered a few CZ parts and had paid with Paypal on his site. Parts arrived last week with no issues.

Pete called today to tell me Paypal has now froze his account and will hold his funds for 6mo (and can liquidate) because he sells firearms parts! He still could refund the purchase so he did and I reordered using a Credit Card. He won’t ship but does get paid for his wares. Glad to help him out.

Paypal is NEVER an option for firearms related transactions even when a vendor says they take it, they can get caught and things go poorly.

So I didn't make a post about it because it was my own damn fault but....

I ordered an item from a websight that I was 99% sure was fake. I was willing to gamble because it wasn't a large amount of money and I figured PP would fix it....

Part never arrived, started a claim with PP, fake vender came up with a fake USPS tracking number that shows delivered. PP told me to pound sand....

If it isn't F&F and I am not sending to or accepting from someone I know or know someone who knows them... check only.

I have written more checks in the last 6 months than in the last 6 years...

GunTab works very well and is SECURE.

I lost my PP account in much the same way. Did business for YEARS without issues selling barrels and such stuff. I used it properly and didn't abuse the F&F option so they could make their money too..........Sold some stuff on GB and used PP as a payment method..... STATING SPECIFICALLY NOT TO MENTION ammo, bullets or anything like that.....sold a lot of stuff there too.......but you can't fix stupid. ONE CUSTOMER mentions ammo with the payment and they seize and lock the account. Luckily I always emptied the account as soon as I was paid - just in case - and only had a couple of dollars left in the account.

Made them MAIL me my money after the wait period.........just to cost them a little more time and money.

These type of people that can't follow simple instructions are a valid argument for intelligence testing before owning firearms!!!

Lots of P P Accts. have been shut down due to that stupid note section. And, sometimes a person thinks it will give them more security by mentioning an item.

Closed my PayPal business account several months back due to their support of certain political affiliations. Think they told me I'd been a customer for 19 years at that time. During the "closing" conversation the agent eventually asked why I was leaving, politely told him it was the fact businesses shouldn't take on the role of politicians and that I wanted that fact noted in the event someone reviewed my file.

Funny. I just bought an Azula cross draw holster and their website had PayPal as an option.

Same scam happened to me on eBay. Expensive espresso maker. They got a real UPS tracking number that showed delivery to my town. EBay and PP said it was delivered. I worked with UPS to find the actual address it was delivered to, which wasn’t mine. They were skeptical, until I got on Ebays FB page and made some noise.… Pretty elaborate considering they have to find a tracking # that matches town and date.

Believe the forum boss warned of not using PayPal on here or you will get booted.

Forum Boss: PayPal Friends & Family is NEVER to be used for sales of ANY goods and services. That applies to everything, not just here.

PayPal regular with FEES is OK for most sales, but NOT Guns and Ammunition and various undefined gun products. I don't think its wise to use PayPal for powder, primers, and bullets as that could be considered "ammunition".
