Contact Form member Scott Parker. He is one of the beam scale gurus on the Form.Would anyone know where I could source some bearings for my M-5. I find that there is some horizontal in my beam and I think it is caused by one of the bearings.
How did the pan hanger get all goofed up?10-0-5 Guess i should point out i got a little over zealous with some alcohol and microfiber rag while cleaning and actually faded a section of the scale graduations on this one...
Old post had to go back and figure out what your referencing. Still dont know what you mean. The pain hanger is shaped just as it should be. I swapped the beam on that scale with a parts scale and then sent it to scott parker for his majic and its my go to scale these days. Sensitive to a single kernel and balances out perfect. How did the pan hanger get all goofed up?

just a different style of hanger. i've had more than 20 of these full body scales now and have found 3 different style pan hangers. don't know if its due to different years of manufacturing or different production locations but the hanger in mine is as it should be. i have an m5 with the same hanger. i also had another m5 with the style hanger that you have.
I was trying to work out what the fancy adjustable attachment by the bearings was for: Just dawned on me that it's the sensor for an Omega Auto-Trickler.
Yes, great observation there! It is in fact the Dandy/Omega one, like this:I was trying to work out what the fancy adjustable attachment by the bearings was for: Just dawned on me that it's the sensor for an Omega Auto-Trickler.
I know Danny - I designed and made the prototypes of the Omega Auto-trickler for Dandy.
I hope mine never ever dies.I know Danny - I designed and made the prototypes of the Omega Auto-trickler for Dandy.![]()
There are a good few Targetmaster tricklers, using the same technology, still running well with more the 25 years on the clock.I hope mine never ever dies.
