Beam scale

Looking at a picking up a different beam scale and found a used Lyman Ohaus M5 is this a bit better than the newer Ohaus 10-10

Unless it was run overby a truck, there is no need to send it anywhere.

Put on the bench and start using it.
 
Definitely pick up that M5 and send it to Scott Parker. It's what I did and I can measure the individual grains of powder as I trickle them in. I like mine so much I just picked up a second one and will send it off soon so if anything were to happen to the one I'm using I'm covered. I've had nothing but trouble with the electronic scales I've owned and now have a cheap one for weight sorting cases and that's all it's used for.
 
When I was looking for a new scale, I spoke to scott parker, and he told me the Ohaus M5 was the scale to have!

I went on the hunt and found one on ebay in great condition.

It has been perfect for me.
