ANOTHER beam scale discussion

Would anyone know where I could source some bearings for my M-5. I find that there is some horizontal in my beam and I think it is caused by one of the bearings.

I have that Ohaus 505 red bottom and cream cover that you show in the pics. My step grandfather gave it to me in the mid 70's when he was not loading anymore, and I've been using it since. I check it with the calibration weight periodically and it's always been spot on.

Do you know the mfg dates of it?

Well I thought I was the only one bit by this bug. up to about 20 so far, mostly all older oil dampened. Im pretty sure webster made about 7-8 different models, I have 5, they also made blair scales, and all the old pacific up to the M oil dampened one which looks just like the mag dampened one. also there is a gram M hornady scale. they made the CH, texan, bonanza.
Im still not sure who made the reddings and herters, there a different style beam. I have most all of the old herters, theres 2 styles that have a lever to raise the beam off the bearings. all pretty cool! Krupps are just like the herters.
just picked up a santa fe, NIB with instructions, ive only see 2 of them.
theres really not a lot of history on scales on the internet, still need info and dates of different models.

How did the pan hanger get all goofed up?

Danny
Old post had to go back and figure out what your referencing. Still dont know what you mean. The pain hanger is shaped just as it should be. I swapped the beam on that scale with a parts scale and then sent it to scott parker for his majic and its my go to scale these days. Sensitive to a single kernel and balances out perfect.

just a different style of hanger. i've had more than 20 of these full body scales now and have found 3 different style pan hangers. don't know if its due to different years of manufacturing or different production locations but the hanger in mine is as it should be. i have an m5 with the same hanger. i also had another m5 with the style hanger that you have.
