ACCUBOND® LONG RANGE BULLETS

Has anyone shot these at 300-1,000 yards?

I have the 150gr. 611BC, and 175gr. 672BC bullets. for use in a .284 Shehane and 7-08.
Thinking of using the 175's in the 284, and the 150's in the 7-08.

I have shot the 142 from my 6.5x47 at 600 and 1,000 and they shoot a lot like a Berger VLD ,,confirm your dope as the BC is inflated but they shoot well in my rifle and should expand way out there,,

I shoot the 129 grn in a 6.5x47 for hunting. They have shot right along w the berger vld out to 600 yds. I'm impressed with their accuracy, bc, and performance on game.

I am also shooting the 129 in a 6.5x47 Lapua. Have had good accuracy out to 300 yards. They have also been very effective on whitetail deer. I have some of the 150's to try in a 280 Ackley, but haven't made it to this project yet.

Im building a 284 win currently but only running a coal of 2.850 - 3.050 on a Rem 700 short action with bottom metal mags. Thinking about the 150/168 Accu LR bullets myself. Ill include my findings when i do. Good luck and also let me know what you learned.

Older thread, but don't the 175's and possibly the 168's require a 7 twist barrel?

Litz tested BC's are here.... it does look like the actual BC's are not as good as advertised.

Not sure I've seen a 7 twist 7mm barrel. 9 twist should be fine. I shoot 180 berger in my 9 twist very well at 3050. I know, alot of those barrel twist formulas are theory. Bryan usually does real world testing tho.

He tested both a 7 twist and a 9 twist in with the 168's, you can see the difference in resulting BC's in the link. Velocity and altitude are going to have an effect on stability and the resulting BC, in addition to which twist you use. The twist calculator he links to will let you play around with the potential inputs.

Could we come back to the origional question?

Sure thing.... I don't have any first hand info on these, but there's some comments from Brian Litz on tested BC's along with quite a few pages of discussion on the link I posted above. I thought that info on BC's and twist rates might be helpful to you or anyone who came across the thread in the future.

Have you had a chance to shoot any of yours?
