Just picked up 500 of the 7mm 168 gr LR Accubonds. The are long and sleek. Can't wait for the Ultramag to get finished! While I am taking a 6.5x284 with the 140 VLD for a sheep hunt to Alaska on Tuesday, I commend Nosler for making the Accubond better.

Do you think you could post up a pic of one compared to another 7mm bullet?

7mm 160 AB; 168 VLD; 168 ABLR; 180 VLD

Boy those ABLR's are long. Crazy that a ABLR 168 is almost as long as a Berger VLD 180. Pretty soon we'll probably just start shooting spears out of our rifles ;D

fine by me.

dzelenka,

How far off the lands did you shoot these? I picked up two bags of seconds and plan to try them in my 7saum using h4831. They are long, and will be .070" off the lands. Magazine max length.

Sorry if this has already been answered...I was having trouble finding any load data on the 150gr .284 Accubond LRs so I called up nosler and they told me that the standard load data for 150gr spitzers would work just fine for my 7mag. Most of the powders were impossible to find, but I did get my hands on some VihtN160. 64gr of the N160 is the most accurate load so far. At 100yds, the spread was about 1". Hope this helps.

Have a customer who has tried the 129 6.5 Long range Bowler Accubond. He shot 3 deer at 325 to 540 yards. The bullets pencilled through with very little damage. The deer ran 15 to 60yards with no blood trail. He doesn't think they will be good deer bullets.

Thank you for that very valuable input :) That was the exact bullet I was thinking about trying. Probably just stick with my 140gr Berger VLDs, they have never let me down.

I got them to shoot well under 1moa in my 270. I did have 1 issue. Upon close inspection, The jackets were all beaten up. Dings, dents, and there were creases in the noses of the 270 bullets I tried. Being afraid these creases would cause a problem with the integrity of they jacket I opted not to set my gun up to run them. Looks like maybe there is a manufacturing issue? I think I will wait until the bugs are worked out to try again.
