9 twist 20cal. what chamber? what bullet?

I have a 20 PPC with a 9 twist built on a BAT Action. I'm in Ohio. It stabilizes the 55 Berger great. Only thing is, I can't drive that bullet as fast as I was hoping for. I've got really really good accuracy out of the 55 with Varget but only getting 3400 FPS.

Powder choice only thing holding YOU back.. there’s others.. accuracy trumps speed all day long !!!

Very true Gabe.....I tried a faster powder the other day and crazy high pressures. Unfortunately I didn't have the Chronograph that day. I'm open to ideas if you'd like to share them with me.

I tried in my 6ppc & 20BRAI…. I didn’t have enough of it at the time.. AA2460 would be on my list.. if I had it in hand..

If I remember correctly I'm about 29.3 gr of AA2520 with the 39 TNT.
I just checked my notes im at 29.6 with AA2520, keep in mind though this is with an AI. My 20PPCAI also preferred a 7.5 primer vrs a 450.
I've barely got this thing up and running only probably 100 rounds on it mostly fireforming brass, I have not ran it up yet and found pressure

N140.. maybe…

anything but varget..

Why do you say anything but varget? I'm looking to run 50s and thinking varget is going to be about the best out of the hogdon powders? Probably a bit too fast

From a competitive standpoint, I’ve learned better. Lol
It’ll probably work in the field, just not all day long.. better have a morning load & lunchtime load..

Yeah ok. I'm just looking to use it in the field and if it will shoot around .3 I'd be happy.
