20 PPC 9 twist with 39 & 40 gr bullets

Hey guys will a Lilja 9 twist in 20 PPC accurately shoot the 39 & 40 grain bullets in addition to the 50 grain Bergers? Looking to build a BAT actioned rifle and trying to figure out the best twist. Would like to shoot the 50's as well as the 39 & 40 grainers. Please share your experiences. Thanks.

I have a 1-9" Lilja on my .20BR. I can shoot everything in it. My buddy also has the same barrel and the Sierra 39BKs come apart sometimes. He was shooting them at 4000 FPS. I also shoot the 39BKs at 4000 FPS and mine have always hit their mark.

So the point is a 1-9" will work fine but it may not shoot the 39BKs. Any of the other heavier 20 caliber bullets will work fine, including the 50s.

If I were you I would get a 1-12" and not bother with the 50s in a .20 PPC. That is what I did in my .20 PPC. The 39BK is the current king of the .20 caliber bullets IMO. Push them close to 4000 though a 1-12" and you have a dream rifle.
