7mm PRC release and perspective

I went the 300PRC route early on, wanting a MID ELR gun. Got a couple hundred pieces of Hornady brass, various bullets in 200 to 230 grain and went to work. Got it to shoot pretty good with the Hornady brass, never great. When I got Lapua brass, it came to life! I'll wait till better brass is available and the Reamer specs get sorted.

Guessing new cartridges being developed will never end… No matter what you call it, a big game bullet traveling from say 2700 to 3200 fps will be well within minute of target for a decent shooter. Trajectory wise, all will be within a couple inches at most at your target distances. Then you consider being in the field, weather conditions, aiming conditions, and time available to take a shot will likely impact your POA-POI. Then consider bullet construction as you hit your target because once you get a hit and likely pass through, what is done is done.

At what point does it end? I guess my 7 LRM and 28 Nosler are obsolete....
I don't think so. I'm being to think that this new rifle I bought is going to be a safe queen for years before I can find any 7PRC brass to load for it while you continue to shoot your two .284's! I knew I should have built another 7mmRemMag!

Not interested in 7mm anything, sold the rifle and 7 mag reloading stuff. Found 2 boxes of 180 gr Bergers...will never own another 7mm. The new calibers released by Hornady seem to take along time to get brass and components to the public in any quantity, if at all. Todays market with expensive components, empty shelves, and fewer buying options for powders, primers, bullets, etc. ...why get into a new cartridge supported by one manufacturer? Hornady has great selling hype and like all companies need to sell their products...so if the 375 Ruger isn't selling well ... like the 300 RCM went to make 6.5 PRC, the 30 TC went to 6.5 Creedmoor...so do the repeat...make a 7mm PRC out of the 375 Ruger brass...declare it the best ..just like all the rest and sell more products.
Makes good marketing sense to me,...I don't desire one, but some will,...so it would be nice if those people could actually get components instead of just one box factory cartridges, from time to time.
