I've opted for a no-neck turn reamer for my spec. Are most 7-6.5 PRC shooters neck turning or are they running no neck turns?
Interesting case sizeA member over on the Hide posted this apparently SAAMI chamber drawing for the 7mm PRC. Still isn't showing up on the SAAMI new chamberings page, which seems odd.

Looks interesting, larger than a necked up 6.5 PRC and smaller than a 7mm LRM.
That freebore should work very well with the heavies. It’s VERY similar to a 7 Blaser Mag. Factory FB is .233 which is quite a bit.
I don't think I've got a copy of the reamer print for my 7mm Blaser but I'm pretty sure the FB isn't that long. It’s VERY similar to a 7 Blaser Mag. Factory FB is .233 which is quite a bit.
Yea, blaser is .060-.070 FB.I don't think I've got a copy of the reamer print for my 7mm Blaser but I'm pretty sure the FB isn't that long.
My OAL to touch with a Berger 180 Hunting VLD is 3.265
I figured that's what you meant I only posted my OAL as a comparison.Sorry, I meant the factory FB for the 7 PRC
That’s going to be interesting because the 180 eldm is a pretty fragile bullet prone to a Houdini act enroute to the target.I am betting that the freebore is designed to shoot the 180 ELDM
The 7 Blaser mag reamer I have is .126 freebore with a 180 hybrid @ OAL of 3.260.I don't think I've got a copy of the reamer print for my 7mm Blaser but I'm pretty sure the FB isn't that long.

I have never actually even seen a 180 eldm bullet anywhere. That’s going to be interesting because the 180 eldm is a pretty fragile bullet prone to a Houdini act enroute to the target.
