I don’t frequent gun shops, but it’s probably gonna be worth it now. Just to overhear the stories about this new magic hunting rifle. Pure entertainment. The knowledge being dropped should be spectacular.
Let's compare apples to apples if he's claiming 28 Nos performance at 80,000 PSI well then what is then whenthe 28 Nos at 80,000.This article discusses a little bit about reloading it, a little bit of heavy bolt lift.
Compared to factory ammo, I think their claim as being the fastest is probably valid, at least neck and neck with 28 nosler. Factory 28 nosler with a 195 berger is advertised as 3000fps or less out of 26" barrels (copper creek, unknown munitions). Federal is claiming 3k from a 24" barrel. This guy's testing seems to show their claimed numbers for the 7mm bc are valid.

Lol, yeah, picking out those that don't give money to the site will surely get them to contribute. (Sarcasm) We don't pay for social media, the advertisers do that. See how this site is plastered with advertising...same deal. Do you contribute to google, or any other site you extract data from?OK, maybe a little anal here. 27 participated in this thread, 11 of them contribute to the site, 16 do not.
Not picking on anybody, but................
Something to be considered. Wasn't actually trying to guilt anyone into being a contributor, merely making an observation.Lol, yeah, picking out those that don't give money to the site will surely get them to contribute. You did a lot of counting and reserch to make a simple observation.Something to be considered. Wasn't actually trying to guilt anyone into being a contributor, merely making an observation.
Some of us are just "numbers" people. You did a lot of counting and reserch to make a simple observation.
I read that RCBS is working on dies for the new cartridge. They are having issues resizing the alloy. They farmed out the reloading issue to some "unnamed" reloading brand.
From the article above.I read that RCBS is working on dies for the new cartridge. They are having issues resizing the alloy.
Then you tell that to the bullet and ammo makers I've been at the shops for meetings who are dealing with it.I think the bolt lift is because the brass flow and bolt thrust. Steel cases dont do that atleast thats what they are saying. All the videos released seem like the guns in 7 bc work like normal rounds
Thats probably why they arent using hybrid cases. Try that again with steel and report back. Unless all the videos online are lying and not actually shooting the 7 backcountry, they dont seem to be having problems. If it wouldnt cycle im pretty sure federal wouldnt be putting this out. Or did the manufacturers they partner with for guns change something specifically for this? Now this was with hybrid cases. Not all steel.
Don't know.... but I'm going to sit back and watch and get data from the ammo makers when I can.Thats probably why they arent using hybrid cases. Try that again with steel and report back.
