I could argue this with experience. Had a hell of a time in my 6mm creedmoor with the 108 eldm. Started at touching all the way to 50 thou jump. Ended up finding it at 10 thou jam. Was a difference from at best almost 1 inch group and shrunk it down to just under 1/4. In my 6.5 creedmoor the 140 eldm do like 20 though jump and have seen same in 2 friends 6.5 creeds.Like other ELDs they are not jump sensitive but I load them at .020" off the lands and they shoot great. I definitely wouldn't jam them.

No matter the bullet, I always start in the lands.....Dragging the 223 out for a fresh start with different bullets. Do they prefer some jam or a little jump ? Chime in with experiences please thanks
I shoot Hornady ELDM in 223, 308 and 6.5. Each one wants a different jump. Mine like between .020- .005 jump. But I’d say they like being close to the lands. I’ve never jammed any of them but I’m thinking about trying it in the 6.5, it’s got the largest groups and if I don’t start getting it better I’m putting a barrel on it or selling it.
I’ve tried them from .050 jump up to where I’m at now. The 223 likes -.005 and the 308 is -.020. The 6.5 is at -.010 and -.005.How far off have you tried them?
What powder you runnning in your 223 with them ?I’ve tried them from .050 jump up to where I’m at now. The 223 likes -.005 and the 308 is -.020. The 6.5 is at -.010 and -.005.
