7 FCP, a cartridge developed specifically for the F Class Scene...

I tried my best to make the Berger 190's work, N555 H4350, H4831 w/ CCI 250 & BR2 and nothing consistent though. I have 3 500 count boxes of 190's if you need them.
Easy button is the Berger 180's, the 184's shoot very good also.

Started fire forming brass for my 7FCP using the false shoulder method recommended by Bryan Blake. This is shooting through a 1:8.5 twist 30" Brux barrel with the "No Turn" .320 neck chamber. My Plan is to get a few hundred cases formed and then run them through the AUTODOD and switch to a 1:8.5 32" Brux with a .313 neck chamber for load dev and matches. I'm pretty sure that I could shoot fire forming loads in a midrange match and do just fine.

I have an 8 pound jug of IMR4451 that I bought during the great drought of 2020. Never used it for anything but thought it might make a good powder for fire forming this brass. The first 50rds were with 55gns of powder and the second batch were with 56gns. These are all shot with the 184gn Berger Hybrids at 100 yards. I have discovered that IMR4451 is a very dirty powder but am impressed with the results.

Now this is impressive marksmanship. Katie Blankenship shot these at 500 yards at the wind readers match last Saturday. First string she had to help my son through most of it, meaning getting on and off her gun throughout the string as turns out his scope reticle was no longer connected to the turrets and she was trying to help him. Then next string she only had two flags, she shot a clean with 14. Then a 10 minute break and shot 10 shots blind. Meaning no pulling or marking or sighters. Actually no sighters on any of these matches. She shot a 100-10x BLIND. Then take another 10 minute break and shoot another ten shots BLIND. No pulling no sighters. She shot a 200-19x that is way. This also was no trigger pulling contest as there was wind, not switching but up and down. 599-44x.414147170_10161681567913804_2845017748453422706_n.jpg

This has been my experience...so far with my first attempt at long range FOpen; Bryan Blake 7 FCP package purchased with turned neck. 30" Brux 1-8.5" twist straight contour barrel, Kelbly Golden Bear action, March Majesta scope, McMillan Kestros ZR stock, Rodzilla T-Rex front rest. Fireforming load was 56.00gr H4831SC, neck turned and blown out Lapua 6.5 PRC brass, 190gr Hornady ATips, CCI-34 primers COAL 3.188" All the below were shot at 100 yards. They are 20 shot groups except for the last one; #5. I ran out of ATips so my last 2 shots were Berger 184gr Hybrids. Those were the 2 "High" shots in the group and if you blow them up, there are small sharpie tick marks.

What was your muzzle velocity at 56gn of H4831sc? ... and SD's if you were recording them?

Finally got to try H4831sc.

Here's some load testing at 100 yards with 56.5-58.5gns in of H4831sc. Muzzle velocities were a little lower than I expected based off my experience with the .284 Winchester.

Charge Weights, ES, SD, and Muzzle Velocity are written on the target.

Testing 58gn and 60gn of H4831sc at 600yards this morning. There was just a slight prevailing right to left breeze. I never held off more than .5moa.

My accuracy node (4-1/2 according to Gordons Reloading Tool) with N555 was @ 2930'/sec with 57.40gr. with a 30" barrel and Berger 184gr Hybrids. Maybe check a little higher???

I’m almost ready to start fire forming got my 32” Blake barrel chambered and installed on my BAT action. I have H4831SC and H1000 available to fire form with 180 hybrids. Any one have load data for H1000?
