OleFreak said:.204 Ruger is very similar to the .222 Mag. The .204 body is less tapered to the shoulder which got moved forward a bit and changed to 30°. Brass costs (is none by Lapua) are about the same as .223 Remington.

I have found 300+ 222 rem mag cases to go with the 200 bought from two other sources, so I have enough brass. Having a little delay in getting a reamer but this will happen. For dies i' m going to send a reamer print to Whidden Gun works and they make a custom fl bushing and seating die and the price is very reasonable. Keep us posted on the how tos.
Thanks mate, already have a 6.5SAUM as well so well versed in the issues faced with steep shouldered cases.Brewz said:Hi mate
When it comes to standard Remington magazines, it is fairly well know that they don't like a diet of cartridges with steep shoulder angles.
The 6x47 Rem has a 28 deg shoulder, while your 6.5 TCU has a 40 deg shoulder.
The usual rout to getting these steep shouldered cases like ackley improved etc etc is a good single stack detachable magazine. Your cartridge was designed to be used in a single shot pistol and no feeding issues would have been considered in its design.
Good luck with it.
