6GT project/range report

@NorCalVu what free bore are you using for all 3 rifles? 0.120" or 0.170"?

I ordered some 115 DTAC, 108 ELD-M and 105 Hybrid. Thinking I may need to go 0.170".

You mentioned that the DTACs were difficult to chamber, possibly due to loading it too long. How long was that? Either BTO or COAL?

Thanks!

So I've wanted a Dasher for a while, but never could get right with the idea of fire-forming brass or paying the price for hydro-formed brass. Also have seen the feed issues some guys experience.

When my neighbor jumped 6mmGT band wagon I felt like it was a good time to keep up with the Jones's! Ordered brass, dies, and barrel. Also got motivated to unpack and set up my reloading bench after moving in December.

Really looking forward to loading and shooting this cartridge. Have always wanted one of the smaller cased 6mms and have only ever had 243s, a 10" twist and 7" twist (still have and LOVE the 10 twist). 6GT all the way!!

Your going to love it!

Anyone tried BL-C(2) in the 6GT? StaBall is extremely hard to find on the east coast. Where does StaBall fall in the burn rate chart?

Where can I get ides for the GT ? GA Precision and Alpha Munitions have been out of stock all year. Thx

Never owned a 6mm anything rifle. My buddy and I are ready to try one of the smaller competition cartridges. Not interested in fire forming, want quality SRP brass, better barrel life than 6cm, and something that feeds reliably from my .308 AICS style mags. Saw Vu's article, did some due dillagence, and decided to start with 6GT.

Got on alpha brass wait list yesterday, reamer and headspace gage here already, barrel and dies are next purchase. Going on my switch barrel tikka/krg xray.

With the availability of quality formed brass for the Dasher from Alpha, is there any advantage to the 6GT or do I just need one of each?

Good feeding with slightly more speed. I don't have a small 6mm, so it seemed like a good place to start. Was between 6cm and 6dasher before I read Vu's articles.

Spinning up barrel today, hoping to shoot tomorrow.

I've been debating the same myself, and have been between this forum and the Hide reading about the GT. I love my 6BR but want more velocity that an improved or Creed offers.
