6.6 GT Anybody?

I have been looking at the 6GT cartridge being established from GA Precision. Their market seems to be the PRS/NRL crowd. My interest is Metallic Silhouette. I’m putting together a rifle and am considering some rounds to shoot the 6.5 dia bullets. The BR based case necked up to 6.5MM.Im now wondering necking up the new 6GT to 6.5. Has anybody considered this? I would like some feedback .

What velocity and bullets are you wanting to shoot? I'd bet money that the 6.5x47 shoots very well at lower pressures. Don't need to pack it to the gills with powder, chasing a 260 Rem's speed, to get it to shoot super accurately.

6.5x47 is actually the front runner but I believe in balancing recoil with knockdown at the other end. There is no need to tire from recoil if the result takes down a ram. 6.5 x47 would definitely make life a lot easier. No necking up,no neck turning,no special chambering reamer, dies, etc. I am a tinkerer and sometimes want to do the “ next best thing”. Can yaw relate?

I know it's not common BUT it works great , the 6.5 JAP , don't laugh . Norma makes brass , 308 bolt face works and if you need more power the 6.5 jap Ackley. I've been playing with it for a while and was not the one to bring it back to life . An older article in a single shot pistol , TC I think was used since it's a semi rimmed cartridge , it worked . It was for

How much less recoil do you think you're going to get with the GT using 1 or 2 grains less powder?
