6BR-AI With BRDX Reamer

Gabe sent me this picture. I surely understand his excitement. Said I could post it for him as he lives rural with intermittent cell service due to weather, it looks good to me as he said this was 2 different 5 shot groups. I`ll let him fill in the blanks. I`m curious of the load data myself!!! Looks like your getting used to that 45x Leupold just fine!

Cool. Nice. Very nice

Thanks Tim !!

After Tim's suggestion of starting with 31.8, I jumped on it with my first loading, remembering he said "some where around 2920fps is where you want to be", well in the 7.5 twist, my speed was w a y over the top of that and ALOT of verticle, almost in the dashed speeds, groups like a shot gun. I started backing down the powder in .2 grs. .

I ending up @ 31 grs. of RL15 (2923fps) , 105 hybrid .020 off touch, 450 primer. This is the target I shot on the right, there are 5 shots in that one hole.
Attach the magnospeed, and the left side is 5 more shots ( finger pointing to it). Don't know why it moves the group, but it does, and always at that position on a target, so I usually shoot the same and label afterwords..

Yep, I believe I got the the 45X dot scope down, since this was the first outing with it...also got used to the farley rest as well.

Should have come up Tim, you'd had fun...or a steak supper..:D I would have had you shooting, or cleaning, or reloading, or grilling....

Did I mention I can multi task with the best of them........;)

Seriously, that might be the smallest 5 shot group I have ever seen, remarkable, good shootin.....

Is there 'A'reamer available for this or does it take a combo to cut it. Thanks.
I used a BRDX on mine and Gabes, just have to trim back to 1.520". I could use a combo and keep the full neck length, but think this version much better looking.

Well, Gabe came to the Dasher DOME this last weekend and a thorough workout for the SHAWTY left me impressed and I can't get the thing off my mind. More later.
But at 800 my first 3 shots went 1 & 5/8 inch. Then I went to the 800 yard egg and 6 shots later the egg vaporized.

Tim, don't know what the heck, I was thinking last night, but there is no reason to bring this one down to shoot..instead of the dasher.! I was thinking of the scope that is mounted (Leu. Comp 45 with dot).

This may become my favorite , I need to find a good variable scope for it.(I think)

The 45X worked pretty well Sunday. A variable would be nice. NF NXS 8 - 32 would fit the bill nicely. That scope has 75 MOA in it which is nice. Schatz uses this one with DD recticle.

Awesome looking case, you guys in Tennesee are onto something Big!
Hi, Birddog,a guy on Saubier was talking about a 22 Dasher shooting 55's at 4045fps, I suggested a 53 V-Max because of the way better bc and extra explosivness:)Hope you build one,I think I may.
Matt

Looking forward to seeing how the brake does on the barrel. I now have a NF comp 15-55 DDR mounted on it. I hope it still makes the small holes.... looking to see what kind of grouping @ distance ...

Tim / Gabe,

What are your thought on the reduced neck length of doing it this way versus with a full BR length neck? Obviously it's performing well. If you were to start over, would you still go with the BRDX neck length?

Thanks,
Terry
