6BR-AI-DX Got my Attention Today

My 6BR imp. blows out to 1.550 - 1.553 almost every time, you may get 1.548 once or twice in a hundred. Velocity seems good with 24" barrel around 2900 with RL-15, will try 26" next. 100 yd groups are best I've ever seen as small as .027 and .050 with the 105's ES is as low as 2. it's a keeper........ jim

Running the Brdx reamer in short what is the diameter of the fired cases at the .200 mark?
Does the shortened sizing die sizing appear to size enough at the base?

Yes, Harrells was nice enough to send me 2 Dasher dies to size check, this was all from Mr. Stan Taylors advise. They sent a #2 and #3 and allowed me to return the one I didn`t use. Normally you send in fired cases, but thought I could figure that out. My .200" diameter on the BRDX is .4715" so it worked out the #2 was working well and is what I suggested Gabe get and he`s in good shape sizing as well.

I am going to give this a try. I have a BR reamer and a Brdx reamer. But didn't really see the need to run the BR reamer in just for the neck length
I won't be shooting any light Bullets.

How much difference is there between the#2 and#3 die at the .200 line? How much did you have to shorten the dasher die to fit your case? Thanks

I shortened my first one for me personal to much at .145" but thank goodness it still works great. The one for Gabe I paid better attention to and do not remember the exact amount, maybe like .080" but how you find your number for the cut, is to measure the difference between the 2 headspace gauges inserted in the Harrells die. The difference is how much you take off.

I`d be guessing on the inside dimensions on the die, but if i had to guess it would be .0005"

Same die can be used for the 22 Shawty as well.....!

I have a Dasher go guage. Would a fire formed AI case work as the comparision? Thanks

The reamer i used was a reground Dasher that was .4708 at the .200 line and set the free bore at .120. All i did was shorten the #3 Harrell's Dasher die enough to set the shoulder back. Easy to do all the Dasher stuff worked in the change over....jim

Good to hear. I have a #3 and a Wilson Dasher seater
I should be set. Reamer should be here in a couple days

The new reamer is a zero freebore for slower twist/light bullets.
.138" on the BRDX
.140" on the Norma Dasher.
