62 ELD_VT with 1-7 twist

I'm fairly certain an 8 twist is more than sufficient to run them. They are no longer than 75g ELDMs which work great in a million different 8 twist 223s.

Everybody is way to hung up on super fast twists these days...
8 twist should be perfect. The market hype on these is that they "could" be run in a 7 twist since they were longer than normal 62's. When you think of 62 grain bullet, you automatically think of one a little shorter. From everyone's photo evidence and experience, it appears these are the same as the 75's. I ran 77 smk's from a 9 twist. Didn't keyhole but were not as accurate as the 69's. Not sure if it was because of twist or just lack of velocity?

Shoot them thru which ever twist rate barrel you have and judge for yourselves.
I quote " 8 twist at 3470 fps. It works." I have one of urbanriflemans, 22XC's in an 8
twist. I'm getting 3400fps and they devastate p-dogs.

I regularly shoot 50 grain bullets from a 7 twist at 345,000 rpms and have never had one not arrive at it's final destination intact ;) These 62's were designed to be spun up fast since they have a bearing surface length comparable to something in the 85+ grain weight range, so I'm sure it's a nonissue.

Edit: I'd like to add that I listened to the engineer from Hornady on their podcast as he said these are at home in a fast twist barrel and not your average varmint twist 10 or 12 like guns in the past. He recommended the faster twist for these and also went on to say they are not for 223 gas guns (ar15's) unless you have a fast twist and would single load because they are too long to run at magazine length.

In a gas 22 ARC they fit fine in a mag and 3300fps so far.
