30BR with H322

Ok...let's look at this. This is the same measure setting with new IMR4227.

Now, clearly you don't want to try this much as it's considerably faster. But lets take a look at a load that is in the ball park, based on the H4227 that was used in the past.

The case fill is right at the bottom of the neck. While we all like to see a compacted powder column (not compressed...that's different), it's possible that we put too much emphasis on it. The new IMR 4227 is a very short kernel and meters like water. Like always, start low and remember that the throttle doesn't have to always be wide open. There were many, many wins in registered BR competition with the H4227. Is it time to go back to the future? o_O

I haven't seen any H322 for, it seems, as long as H4198 has been unavailable. I used to use H322, and RGR is right, it is a bit slow, but does ok. I haven't shot what I have in years. N130, a bit slow for the BR, but when you find the right load and seating depth it works....AND IS AVAILABLE, or has been.
