300 SAUM Imp

Can’t ask for much more than that! Where did you end up at on your charge weight?

I updated the above photo with some "words" lol.

Here's a couple other 5 shot groups after I got close with a handful of 3 shot groups. With the sweet one below. I just dropped a dot each 5 shots. So it either likes 10 off, or it likes heat.

It out agged a dang good 6mm today by a .070" margin on 3 targets.

On my 3 shot tuning 15 off went wide, so that's why I went where I did with my remaining 15 rounds. Next time out I'll see if 10 1/2 off will lose that damn spitter! Lol

I just hope I can do as good as Roy making them once I get my lessons in June! Good boy @Roy H lol.

I could not find a picture of that rifle. McMillan can make the LRB stock about 9 ponds. With a Bat M and heavy barrel they end up about 25 pounds +/-. I have been getting more requests for these. I think guys like the light gun ergonomics with the extra weight of the heavy gun.

Here's pictures from the three shot groups that I tried. Sighted OFF my dots, I can see what's what in my spotter. I would still like to see some at various settings into the rifling, and maybe see just how much past 10 off I can go before it widens out like the 15 off one. I was a little surprised about the 59.38 charge speeding up 75 fps more than I expected??? But it shot reasonably everywhere I tried, so it couldn't have been to unhappy.

Going to see about finding a lower node at 10 off, and then revisit the seating a bit more......see if I can get this thing worthy of competition lol!

Went and located the lower node today while seated at 10 off. It was miserable to see with the snow, but I believe I've got what I needed. After a little vacation I will pick it up here at about 58 1/4. Time for @GlennK to get busy, I'm going south for the rest of February lol.

@tom @Alex Wheeler sizing questions

i Am assume alex made a FL die for this cartridge from JGS, how much are you sizing the base and shoulder OD? .003 ? Have you tried other amounts to see accuracy differences?
