243 Win vs 6 Creedmoor chamber pressure.

I have a custom .243 Akley, 10 twist and boy is it finicky and I've tried 70gr to 100gr. Because of that, I just don't shoot it much. I have a 6mm Remington with a 9 twist that's all factory and although it doesn't park them all in a dime it is consistent enough to be a pleasure to hunt with.
My 243 AI with a 1:10 twist likes the Sierra 70 gr. BK and some IMR 4350.

I have a 6 creed. Only reason I got it was I picked it up used for a smoking deal. Came with brass, dies, projectiles and about 100 factory rounds. I was looking for a lighter cartridge for deer and varmints. Had I not got the deal I did, I would have done a .243ai barrel with a 7 or so twist on a savage long action. The creed wouldn’t be able to touch it.

Very interesting read. I had a old Remington Varmint Special .243 rebarreled several years ago . I let that smith talk me into a 8.5 twist Rock Creek barrel. Gun never did shoot well. Put it away for a long time . Finally decided it will either shoot or I'll get rid of it. I had multiple issues that a new local smith brought to my attention. He squared up the action and refaced the barrel. Rechambered it to due the refacing the action and squaring up the barrel. Recrowned it. That gun flat out shoots now. Glad I listened to the new smith. Point being it's a 8.5 twist that I would have never considered 20 years ago. Loves the 75's , 87's and the 105's. I have no need for a new wiz bang caliber.
