223 ISSF Project

Have shot cheap .223/5,56 before and never had groups close to that. Nice work.

Frontier is a Hornady 75 grain match bullet, using a LC case and primer. The 55 and 75 grain ammo both shoot outstanding in the 223 ISSF 7 twist.

Both are jumping from magazine length.

Talk about a cheap PRS trainer.

PS: We shot the Frontier 223 55 HP on Pdogs last week in the same rifle. The don't blow up like 53 Vmax but blow up quite nicely.

Is the frontier ammo still loaded with LC brass? The stuff I had from a year or two ago all had a LC headstamp. The new frontier ammo (multiple offerings) has a Hornady headstamp. Just wondering if it’s Hornady brass or LC brass that Hornady had them put their headstamp on?

I'm planning on getting back to shooting so I'm adding some new people to my project.

I did bunch of trading and came up with this build for my friend Carsen. Carsen is the young man that I showed in this thread shooting the Red Rifle.

He came to pick it up yesterday he was so excited I didn't get a picture with him and the rifle. I will get one when we go shooting . :)

PS: if anyone else wants to participate let me know.

I was thinking we might test more ammo.

I might make up some 90s too. Haven't tested those.
