223 ISSF Project

I took one of my stepsons friends shooting. He has NEVER shot a precision rifle.

This is the 223 load 22.5 AR COMP with the 80 smk. These were run on my Hornady PROGESSIVE.

All the groups he shot.

This is a 7 shot group.

Without that one dropped shot that would have been less than .25".
2780ish.

23.5 is also good. It's 2880ish.

22.5 is a go to service rifle load in an AR-15 with an 80 smk.

I have 223 Ackley. You mean a 169 fb 223 Ackley?
Yes. I guess I was assuming that finished cut on the chamber and throat are made at the same time, but I can see where you might cut them separately. My brain was just following the time tested pattern of "If it can run a heavier bullet, then how can I stuff more powder in it?" :)

Just need a reamer made.
