Love my ISSF chamber. Everything from 75s to 90s. Even shoots xm193 55gr real tight even though it's jumping a mile.

If only using 80s, why the longer ISSF chamber? I was under the impression that the ISSF chamber was designed to use 90s. What gains over, say a wylde, that already allows long seating an 80?

You can load everything hotter before reaching pressure. 75gr Elds @3000 fps are a laser.

The ISSF 169 freebore is ideal for 80s. It's actually borderline for 90s. I use 230 FB for 90s and 88s.

A Wylde is going to be right at the donut.

LET ME SAY!!! I am NOT saying the Wylde doesn't work for 80s. I was designed for serve rifle shooting 80s single feeding. It is basically a brother to the Nato chamber it certainly works for the 80s. If it were me I would use an expander ball of I were shooting the Wylde near the donut.

I prefer to stay far from the donut.

ALSO: I really encourage people to make their own split neck cases and look at the the pressure ring for themselves. Heck man, don't believe me. Of course, there seems to be a plethora of pressure ring/donut ignorance for some reason. It truly might be one of the biggest detractors to accuracy. If you start cramming bullets into a donut, your groups are going to go south. Period. If a person has been reloading their brass with no expander ball for 3-20 reloads, then you probably cannot pass a bullet through the neck with a fired case. It will hit the donut like a wall.

80 smk at touch. I think that is pretty IDEAL.



90 smk at touch. That's pretty close.



We will be shooting 90s eventually. We will be jamming them, so we should be good.

223 ISSF is too short for the 88 ELDM. My 88 ELDM reamer is 230 fb and @Ned Ludd said 250 FB was the number.

Long story short 223 169 FB is great for so many things. Perfect for precision loading of the 80s.

My space gun has one five gallon bucket of brass through it. That's about 5k. Never shot anything but moly. I gave the 7.7 Kreiger the barrel a good scrubbing with Flitz and the barrel looked great. I took it to the range and shot a bunch of 1/4 inch'sh three shot groups. Still shoots incredibly well.

I have a 223 Ackley Remington barrel that probably has MORE than 5k on it. Same story.

So, no. No ill effects. I moly because it has always worked great. If it did something negative I wouldn't be using it after 30 years.

Moly bashing threads are second only to barrel cleaning threads. Like a plague. IMHO.

Put them in a deep cookie sheet lined with paper towels and shake the thing for a few minutes.

Buff them and buff them. They will get shinier and shinier.
