Here's a link to Berger's calculator. Enter the appropriate data from Bryan's post and the drawing above, then enter your environmental data. A stability factor above 1.5 is optimal but anything above 1.4 will work fine. [br]

Attached is a small spreadsheet that implements Miller's twist rule with Bryan's stability criteria. Enter the appropriate data in the cells. If stability is below 1.4, the result cell will be red. If 1.4 or above but below 1.5, yellow. A result of 1.5 or greater will be green.

Not sure if it would be a "lazer"..... but I am fairly certain it would be a "razor" (on the throat and rifling).
Crackerbacks said:So realistically what calipers are you guys thinking for this bullet? I would be interested in building a long range tactical type rig (will be shot with a brake attach suppressor) not a fclass rig.
I don't know about calibers but the cartridge or case I would try would be a 7 SAUM. I believe it has enough to drive it accurately. If a bit short in capacity the 7 WSM would fit the bill. In 1000 yard BR the 7 WSM just wasn't accurate enough but you could get good velocity. Maybe the extra bullet weight over the 180 will make that case work.
