100 yd CHALLENGE, 4 groups of 5 shots

Your calling me crude when I'm just trying to ask why your argueing so much about rest type? Everything your saying is related to bench competition. This isn't an bench comp! It's just shooting. He'll shoot the thing how ever you want to shoot it doesn't bother me one bit lol. I have hunt on the 31st and on my 7 graveyards now. Soon as I have time without that I'll be on it.

This was a target getting a load worked for my 7mag. I'll shoot it

The rifle minus rear rest

The other I'll shoot. Still working load for it. 6-06

Maybe it would have a warmer welcome as a 100 YARD HUNTING/ TACTICAL RIFLE CHALLENGE Not allude to target shooting

maybe you should shoot your PPC without a scope off the truck hood.

you got iron sights on that rig?

HI Tim,,,I see in the results from the match that Brady Knight was shooting there,,,,WONDERFUL !!!....I havent heard about him and havent shot for 3 yrs since I broke my neck on a 4 wheeler while mowing my property,,,,tell him hello and God speed with his recovory,,,,,I am shure you and the other "B"enchrest shooters that frequent this site, see the need to humor the varmint hunters and sniper wanabees and just try to help them to realize what tru accuracy is,,,,Roger

Roger,
It was awesome to meet Brady for the first time at Riverbend back in April.
He's getting around pretty well.
He's a great guy. He took the time to talk with a new shooter.
I really enjoyed meeting him

I hope you are doing well with your recovery

Tim

I will be in as soon as I can get back out to shoot! I had fun with the Hide shoots especially the one where you shot the cold bore, then the progressively smaller targets and added them up for points. I will be shooting my 308 and 22-250. Bipod and back bag

I thought there would be some targets and rifle pics after this weekend. Any coming? This could be fun. Gotta find a front bag instead of a rest. It'll be a while for me to work up my loads, but I plan on posting the pics eventually.

Sorry it took so long been drinking since my last post ,but I have a laminated group with a .22 lr shot at 109 yds. for 5 shots that measures about .270.Just gotta find it .Bad thing happened wife cleaned up my reloading room and many things are missing. Can't do any thing about it or they will call it DOMESTIC VIOLENCE !

That would make me drink too ;D

My wife has complained regularly about my rifle on its stand in my reloading room - she doesnt like the muzzle pointing across the room. I told her it doesnt have the bolt in or firing pin - it cant fire. Came home, my rifle was no where in sight. Finally found it under my reloading bench backwards on the stand. She said she was careful. :-\

you guys really going to do this? have you got the rules down? If you cant use a front rest and a rear bag what would be the use of trying to shoot groups at 100yrds. if you cant shoot hand loads then no rifle I have can shoot in it. I just seen this post and have not read it thoroughly. I suppose a 6ppc LV rig is outlawed.

:-\ At least read the criteria before you start crying.

You can use a bipod.

You can use a rear bag.

You cannot use a 900lb gun set up on a machine rest that removes the shooter from the equation.

Not complicated. If you shoot sling at 600 you have no worries.

How has this gone 4 pages with no one taking the time to actually read the first few posts.

If you cannot shoot unless the rifle and a machine do the actual target acquisition for you then don't enter the competition. It's 100yds not a mile.

At least read the criteria before you start sniveling, and if you don't like the game don't play. It's purely voluntary.

As you said no submissions yet even from the smarter guys who read the first post and then still may want to participate
I think one of the reasons there are not any submission, is the same reason several others have stated.
This is not S/H or Predatormasters. This is Accurate shooter, this site although it has hunting forums. The main focus is on full on competion accuracy shooting. So our rifles will have 3" wide flat bottom stocks whether it for Fclass open, short range BR, 600yard BR, or 1000yard BR. High Power Most guys here have these type rigs. Not so much the tactical thing. That said we know what our hunting rifles were built for and what they are capable of. So some of us don't really care to use them for something they weren't intended to do. Shooting small groups is not the main purpose of my hunting rifle with its sporter Forend that I can attach a bipod to.
But my ppc in a scoville stock that will work in my Farley front rest is specifically made to shoot small groups at 100 and 200

But hey don't wait on us.

We may complain a little about not using or BR rig. Don't let us hold you guys up.

Proceeded sir with your competition they are your rules

LAZER
Started this challenge
It would be good if he could kick start it off. Not calling him out or anything
Just would like to see what he's got

Even tho I will be disqualified and am not a part of the competition. I may slip in a post of a set of targets from my 10.5 lb LV gun

These were shot the same day in relay competion at Riverbend NBRSA match this past spring

So now we have the first entry. Who's next ???

When this challenge was posted I was wondering how anyone was going to be able to count 5 bullet holes at 100 yards with a good-shooting rifle. You made the point nicely. You must have been stoked after matches 1 and 2 -- great shooting, Tim!

All I can say Toby, Is Wow.

This is my first year competing too. Really excited. I managed to shoot small group at 100yd the .098 target at Riverbend this spring. Then in the match two weeks ago the Fall Classic at Riverbend. I shot small group at 200 yd. I'll post a pic of it. .234" at200

Still ended up down around 17 or 18 place in the 2 gun Grand but having a great time

Thanks, Toby.
A lot of time spent, and a lot of help from guys at the matches

It is neither my competition nor my rules, but I at least took the time to read the criteria before considering whether or not to enter a target.

If you're not equipped to play then move on.

The incessant whining about restrictions that do not exist is tiring.

Shoot the comp or not, that is your choice. Crying about nonexistent rules is also your choice. Explaining why you are too good to enter the competition is, once again, your choice.

If your rifle is too good to take off that mechanical rest and shoot from a bipod and rear bag then so be it.

Entry is not required.

Do you see Lazer or anyone else for that matter posting in the F class threads or the BR threads crying about the rules of the game?

Follow the rules and make an entry. Anything else has zero value in this thread.

You are correct and I said my post would not qualify. The value in the posts was to answer the question why there have been no submissions to the contest. The point was most of the guys on here shoot some form of sanctioned competion
