I have been shooting some 103VT but until I decided until I get the barrel broken in and brass fire formed I'll shoot "cheap" bullets. What bullet?

I am on my second 6GT barrel and agree that the primer pockets are tight but I have shot thousands of CCI 450 primers in Alpha brass. For the record I did seat them on my Dillon 550 for the leverage.Yesterday I decided to start working with the new 6GT barrel installed on a BAT B RBLPRE in a LRB stock.
I opened the Lapua brass, did the usual steps in prep for powder and bullet but I will say priming the brass was anything but usual. The primer pockets were so tight I didn't think I was going to be able to get primers in. I started with CCI450 but that was a complete no-go. Thinking the Federal 205 would be easier, I tried one of them. NOPE! Since these were simply going to be for barrel break-in I finally wound up priming 25 on the priming setup for my Co-Ax press (which has plenty of leverage but can be a PITA).
I noticed in doing that the rims are apparently not 100% uniform because a few of the 25 either didn't want to fit in the "shell holder". Some oversize and some under.
Has anyone else noticed issues with Lapua 6GT brass primer pockets and rims?
I am using Alpha on my precision repeater barrel. Pockets are tight but not nearly as much as on the Lapua brass.I am on my second 6GT barrel and agree that the primer pockets are tight but I have shot thousands of CCI 450 primers in Alpha brass.
