Inline vs Traditional

This might not be relevant to your decision but years ago I picked up a Hornady seater with the sliding sleeve. It makes seating small bullets much easier, they never get cocked when first starting their trip up the seating die, flat base bullets are much easier to load and I seem to have a much easier time finding accurate loads for random rifles than others.

The best use of a force indicator is to teach the user a consistent pull of the press lever.

Without a consistent pull, you can’t get a true reading anyway.
That's why I think using mechanical press like the AMP seater eliminates human error and if you believe in neck tension you can sort your match ammo by bullet seating force, I usually get 10-15lbs variation over 100 rounds and I wouldn't wanna shoot 1K target with 15lb difference in seating force, all my sighters and score rounds are within 1-2lb max after sorting.IMG_9439.jpeg

O.P isn't talking 1,000 BR.
Its 20cal Varment shooting.
What I'm pointing out is the versatility to inline seater especially seating depth tests and if you have a problem with small cal bullets drop them down the seating stem hole. A proper chamfer helps a ton on flat hase bullets all I use is the VLD chamfer

For three new cartridges the investment isn't that much and I think well worth it. I was hesitant to go inline for long time, now I wish everything I have was inline. Spend the extra and get the micrometer tops. If you don't you'll wish you did..

The O.P is gonna be able to use the SCC die for his VT since the SCC is 40deg shoulder so in a sense there is savings to pay for a inline seater since he isn't going with a 100% different cartridge.

Can you post links once you get everything sorted and chosen? Some of us first semester freshmen are using this thread as a learning tool. :)
This will give you an idea on where I started. Still fine tuning. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter though! BTW, I'm a sophomore at this.
