Lee APP Press & Inline Fabrications Mounting System

I have been a longtime user of Inline Fabrication mounts for my presses. Over time I have gradually transitioned to their QD mount system. I recently bought a Lee APP Press to use as a decapping station. Instead of flinging the brass into a bucket on the floor, I would like to have a catch bin for cases as they exit the press. However, mounting the bin to the workbench isn't an option.

Inline Fabrication offers both a QD mounting plate for the Lee APP (matched to Lee's mounting holes on press) and a sperate two bin mounting bracket.

Does anyone have this bin mount for their Lee APP? If so what are your thoughts on having the bins on either side of the handle.... does it feel crowded? Would you prefer the orientation of the bin to be facing sideways (inline with output direction of cases) instead of oriented forward directly at you?

Thanks

I have this setup. I don't use the left side bin, as I have a case feeder.
Yes, the right side bin does get pretty close to your hand, but I have really big hands. I'm able to cheat the bin far enough to the right that it's not really a big deal. I'm also not trying to decap 1000 pcs of brass in 10 minutes. If I used my longer Dillon bins they interfere more than the short bins Lee sends with the kit.

I would buy it again.
Good Luck,
Ross

I like the InLine set up. I run the bin on the right side. Even with a Dillon case feeder filling the APP tube, it isn’t a problem to dump it when it gets close to full.

Thanks for responses - I had similar thoughts.

If I buy one then I would be thinking hard about bending the right-side bracket out 90 degrees so the bin would face to the right (3 o’clock) instead of forward toward the person/hand reloading (6 o’clock). This way my hand won’t be crowded and large bin won’t be sticking out in the way.

I have the case feeder and can’t see much benefit from having bin on left side. I would be tempted to simply cut it off in order to keep small compact footprint of press setup … or bend it 90 degrees to the left (9 o’clock) and use a small bin to hold tools.
