RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme or Reloader Special 5

I see all are in favor of the RC. Keep in mind the cartridges I'll be loading for. I thought some would steer me to the RS5 due to not needing all that muscle?

Keep it coming.........
Not me, I like the reloader special -3.
I’m hoping one day I’ll be able to afford a Hood. :)

I used a Rock-Chucker for over 50 years and 100s of K of loadings with no troubles. Added a Forster Co-ax to the bench an love the way it operates. No more setting dies every time I change calibers and no more shell holders. Rock-Chucker still gets a work out swaging and a couple of other operations. Recently added Inline Fabrication quick change base and plates so I can alternate with very little effort. Whatta Hobby!

Decades and decades of reloading with these things.

The Junior is for seating the hunting and casual cartridges. The RockChucker does all the sizing. Target cartridges are seated with the in-line seater.

Rockchucker! I’ve used mine for 50 years and it’s still going strong! I did buy a newer one just for the ball handle upgrade, which is so much easier on my hand.
I also bought and tried a Rebel for pistol and wound up back with the Rockchucker.
It will handle everything you listed. The heft and leverage are better than the Special 5, which I also had. I gave away either the rebel or the 5 to a new reloader. I can’t remember which. The other is in a drawer as an emergency back up.
Get the extra one out of the drawer, I promise you’ll find use for both set up.

A strong man can do a weak man's job but not the other way around. LOL

I have a Mec Marksman for precision work & a RC supreme for case forming & such.
I agree with everyone in the belief that no mortal man could ever wear out any RC. But if you ever did, RCBS would make it right again!

I run a Rock Chuker circa 1972 and I bought it used in 1978.

I load all rifle on it, but started loading handgun until I graduated to the Lee 1000, then after the 4th rebuild, I graduated to the Dillon 1050 Super which I still use and convert for 4 calibers.

Rockchucker. You may not need it now, but ya just never can tell what the future will bring. Case forming? Wildcatting? I use a Co-ax for most things, but still use a RC for some things & am glad to have it. An old Hornady 007 that was rebuilt by them with a mongo ram is a spare just in case. YMMV.

Never sell tools. I sold a bunch of specialist mechanicing tools once that had just been sitting around gathering dust. Within 6 months, I needed them & had to pay another shop to do what I used to do. Could have made more $$ using them than I got from their sale. That was 30 years ago, & could still be using them from time to time.

If you dont need the $$ or the space, the RS5 could be a good spare/range press.
