7-6.5PRCW load data

I will say the issues some are having with cases and donuts I have not had those issues. I use adg stamped 7-6.5 prc-w brass. I use a Redding 6.5 prc sizing die with a sac .309 bushing. Also use Wilson expanding mandrel I haven’t had any issues. My daughter rifle was built using a jgs cortina spec reamer with 1.5 degree lead no neck turn. Mine I use Alex wheeler version with 1 degree lead and .319 neck

Any opinion about the two different chambers/reamers?
180’s verses 184’s?
4831sc verses say, 555 or other powders?

We only shot 180’s out of our rifles. I have not tried 184’s, I been tempted to try them in my kids rifle. Reamers flip a coin both are good obviously the 1.5 degree be a little more versatile. I no longer use h4831, made the switch to N555 for both. My daughter rifle she would get random 8’s was it h4831?? Once I switched over to n555 no more random 8’s. I tried and tried to make h4350 work in mine I finally gave up I could never get any speeds with it were are talking 2790-2800 with 52.4gr h4350 that’s with 2 barrels and newer 8lb lot of h4350.

Good afternoon, everyone.
I have necked up 6.5PRC Lapua cases and have found "donuts" after once fired.
I have 75 shots through the barrel, still fire forming 100 cases. N555 @ 55.6gr, CCI200 primers, SMK183gr. BTHP @2861fps.
To remove donuts: Do you mandrel and cut outside of neck or do you mandrel, ream in side and cut outside of neck.
We have some ELR specialist here that neck donut cases up to 0.300, cut outside and then size down to .284". Swears removes donuts completely with no return donuts.
Your opinions please.

I shoot 180 Bergers and my freebore allows me to seat them long so the donut doesn’t have affect on my loads.

I have an AutoDod from F Class Products that cuts the inside as well as the outside on for me neck turned cases. But that cost some bucks.

A cheaper way to get rid of the donut is to use an L.E. Wilson reamer to cut it out from the inside. You do it on a fired case. Worked well till I got the AutoDod.

On the 6.5 prc I necked up and have fired I use the Wilson inside neck reamer. Did I have to do it probably not because I can seat my bullet out before it hits the donut. But it was an eye opener how much brass was removed from inside the neck. Some were worse than others. Some of the cases the reamer went in with no problem in other cases it took a lot of effort to ream the necks.

I turn the neck/shoulder junction after two firings. I use the 7mm expanding mandrel without issue. Make sure you cut into the shoulder a bit.
