The 6br was king

I remember when the 6 Br. Was king, now it’s been dashed, X’ ed , A’ed and a whole more alphabets added to its name. And with each alphabet added to its name the long neck which was the reason they said it was accurate but with each letter add to its name the neck got shorter and the new improved versions still seam to be accurate. Just rambling through’s

I got a 6BR for the simplicity
It took two 45 minute range trips to tune a great shooting load that has continued to shoot very very well. It is the rifle in my safe that I can show off with
Brass and bullets out of the box, load recipe right off this site--and Wow!
It is a classic for a reason just like the 222

Ok Tomiboy help me understand I know very little about 6BrA but would changing the shoulder angle to 40 not shorten the neck a very small amount but no enough to matter. Not disagreeing the fact just trying to learn something

Do you really think a longer neck improves accuracy? To many nut case opinions out there.

The Longer Neck, allows you to, CHASE the Lands by moving the Bullet forward ( Without Falling out of the Case ) and It keeps, the Bullet AWAY from the dreaded, "Donut area" of, the Case Neck / Shoulder, Junction.
Also ALLOWS, more Rounds fired without, the Powder Flames "Turbulence Point" Burning Throats,.. "excessively" !

6br, Its the steady get you to work commuter, No problem with that. Some choose to have a project. With todays awesome USA brass manufacturers, dasher isn't even a project.

Pick your speed/pressure/burn rate and enjoy.

BR Lives.
My first one was years ago. A Prone Rifle for 600 NRA Matches.
Now for Necks? When the 6 Norma Dasher came out .050 longer neck I jump on it. ( more room to hold the Bullets). Throats do move.
I have 2 Norma Dasher in F/Open Rifles, flat out fun Rifles. On good days they shoot well to a 1000 yards.

Being a Guy that likes putting Rifle together ? I just finished a 6 Br. Today She gets day one at the Range.
This is a Comb. BR ? Built on a 700 Blue Printed Action to Feed and Single load.
Looked up some old Information on the Mag Box and Follower Modifications.
Much to my surprise it feeds 107 MK well ? On its days off a part time Varmint Rifle or 600 yard Prone one.

BR's are a Gas.

I'm looking at adding a barrel to one of my guns (6BR or variant) I had a 6BR and only got to shoot one match and won that, I'd never shot past 300 before. I doubt I'll get the opportunity to shoot past 600 yards so I'm thinking of staying with the BR or a Dasher. I'd like your thought but the 6BR is really hard to beat!

The 6BR is a fantastic round from 600 yds and in. It is the jewel of the BR line to my way of thinking.
