It was originally designed by Kevin Harrington out of New York. He designed it for medium range work on ground hogs, PD's, and GS's. I've had four of them through the years. I've had one on a CZ 527 with a Hornet bolt face. It was a high .1" shooter. I had about 7,000 rds through it when I decided to sell it and build another one. It stilll shot lights out.

The two I have now are full customs with Hornet bolt faces. They both are extremely accurate. One has a Bartlein bbl. the other a Krieger bbl, Jewell triggers, RBLP (BAT SV and a very rare Farley Hornet bf) actions, and custom stocks. PTG has reamers.

This cartridge is a 250-300 yd range rd and a little further in good conditions. Barrels last 8-10000 rds. I clean mine every 300 rds out in the squirrel fields. No recoil, muzzle jump, or barrel heat. All very important to me in high volume Ground Squirrel shooting.

I've built a least a dozen different .20 cal wildcats through the years. For Ground Squirrels this has been the best by far.

If you are referring to a .22 Hornet Ruger 77 with the rotary clip...yes the .20 Mink will feed through that clip quite well.

Yes that is exactly was i was referring to. This is a terrible thing this sickness i have. Now im gonna have to build another dam rifle. Lol i bet its not a super loud round either. Generally speaking.

Now that’s unique! Heard of the 20 Mink but I believe this is the first time I’ve seen a photo of a loaded round. What powder are you using for this? What types of velocities?

Anyone know where I can get a 20 Mink sizing die and reamer from?

Where are you sourcing dies?

Nothing against the Squirrel line of cartridges but man to me the Mink cases looks just about the perfect size for a hornet size rifle.

Now you've asked the hard question?? Last year I bought the last two sets of .20 Mink dies that the Redding custom shop had in stock after looking everywhere for a spare set for myself. I let a friend have the other set. At that time Jay in the custom shop said they would still build them, but you would need to check with him. PTG still shows reamers available.

Well I haven’t noticed any mention of my favorite yet so I’ll throw it out there.
20 Killerbee I put together a Ruger #1 and I really like it. Made my first trip to shoot prairie dogs last spring. Was by far my favorite to shoot. Longest kill was 368 yds. Running 26 gn Varmint grenades at 3850ish and very accurate.

This looks like a great setup for an excellent cartridge! That’s really moving that 26 grainer along.
