Will chamber for the .150 Shorty to try to achieve 3400-3500 fps with 32 VMax...a K-Hornet replacement with modern high pressure brass.
Beautiful and classic looking wood stocked 700 there! What bullet weights are you shooting out of your 20-250? Powders and velocities? Both of mine are barely even wildcats just straight neck downs from their parent case and both are Rem700 based builds wearing Hart barrels. First pic is 20-222 shooting 40gr Berger w/H322 and lower pic is 20-250 shooting Berger 55's w/RL16 Nothing particularly exotic or exciting about either build but generally when you use all good parts/pieces and a good gunsmith you end up with good results.
I don't know why but I've always wanted to take one of my CZ 527 17 Hornets and make it a 20 H Hornet and shoot something like that 24gr Hornady NTX bullet. For a medium-ish range ground squirrel/PD gun I've always thought something like that would be a fun one.

Yes I remember discussing with you and you enlightening me that I'd just made a close iteration of the 20 JI lol. But it was sure a fun project. The 20 jav improved is a good one! Think I remember chatting with you and comparing the two around the time you had the falcon going.
thank you. I really owe it to Dave Bruno of Pennsylvania. Lilja barrels had the sako vixen sporter contour on file so i went w it in CM to keep it old school. Reblued everything and its better than i ever imagined.Man, you did a good job on that Sako. I like the polish on the barrel, it's the type of look I like on a nice rifle.
Haven't chambered anything yet.Can you tell us more about your .100 shorty? Forming, powders used, velocities?

Yes I have three, two Sakos and a BAT SV, I am late to the party here but will post some pics of them this weekend. Two are heavier for pds and one of the Sakos is for calling coyotes.Anybody here shoot the 20Duster?

I built it with the sole purpose to shoot the Berger 55gr bullets. I'm using w/RL16 getting 3750 from a 26in Krieger 8tw barrel. I've always wanted to work up a load using RL26 because I think there's probably another 100-100+ fps I could get out of it with 26 but it shoots so good with 16 it makes it hard to even want to try. What bullet weights are you shooting out of your 20-250? Powders and velocities?
