Best custom action to build a 17FB and a 20 VT with

I am starting a couple builds. I already have my barrels and reamers. As far as actions go the 17 FB will be a repeater and 20 VT a single shot. I want my actions to be a Rem 700 clone. What ones would you choose and why?? Added both of these setups will be prairie dog/ ground squirrel guns. They will be used in the field.

For the single shot 20 VT I would definitely buy a BAT SV, lots of great choices already mentioned for the Remington 700 clone/footprint BAT also has repeaters with a 700 footprint too. Wish I bought more custom actions back when instead of spending so much tricking out 700s.

Center feed is the way to go on a repeater 20VT or 17FB no matter what action you pick.
As far as metal for a repeater I'm not sure whats out there the only one I've had as a repeater was on a CZ 527.

Not Rem 700, but a tricked Howa Mini would probably make a nice rig in those calibers. Cost after ticking it out may be too close to some of the less expensive customs though.

I picked up a Sako 85xs that I plan on using for the 20 Vartarg. They're pricey but I really like the smaller scaled down action and it's trim profile

I ended up ordering a Zermatt Arms TL3 single shot action for the 17 FB and will probably due same one for the 20 VT. I appreciate all the input.

I like the Bat VR, though a standard Remington 700 action can get you 90% there at less than half the cost. I have one Remington action that is as accurate as any of the expensive options - only change was the Jewell trigger.

A Remington 700 that was originally chambered in 17 or 221 Fireball. For awareness, there are differences between a short action [ex chambered in 223] and 17/221 Fireball as well as the bolt face.

I know the position of the extractor was different but to my knowledge the boltfaces are identical
