IMHO I believe that is what we all hope for and TBD, penalize the Dipstick not the membership. He didn't thank anyone for all the money he stole, or make any apologies either. This person should be in jail for stealing or embezzlement and also the others that allowed it. He should be required to make restitution. The organization, the NRA, should not be punished, it should be the leadership that is fined and/or jailed. The entire board of directors should be replaced and all officers, hopefully that will happen at the annual meeting this year.
Oh yea the key word here is "DID" But, what are they doing for gun owners now. I will not support the crooked B S the NRA of today is parading in front of our eyes. I see nothing that makes me want to give one red cent.Despite his shortcomings, the NRA did a lot for gun rights and gun owners during the last 45 years.
Agree, unfortunately ranges, or Gun Clubs such as the one I belong to, use the NRA range/club insurance. It is supposedly the best deal for the coverage available. The catch is, 100% of the members must belong to the NRA.My question is, when are the shooting ranges going to wake up and quit making NRA membership a requirement?

Over my 50 years I have seen many good things come from the NRA, and also many things I did not agree with. I refuse to trash an entire organization because of the bad apples. The NRA consists of many different parts that have made considerable contributions in more than a few ways.Oh yea the key word here is "DID" But, what are they doing for gun owners now.
Those alerts are marketing materials designed to get more money out of your wallet. Now if they used that money to file lawsuits we would not have the troubles that CA, WA, NY, MA, IL, DC and other states and territories face. But the money went to fund lavish lifestyles, foreign and domestic hunting trips, banquets, domestic and foreign travel for Wayne, the board members and their families and the laws in the states continue to be passed without opposition. Of the millions that the NRA has taken in, the blue states should be up to their eyeballs in lawsuits. The courts should be clogged with them and damages should be awarded when the cases are won. 2nd Amendment Foundation does file lawsuits.Over my 50 years I have seen many good things come from the NRA, and also many things I did not agree with. Monday I received an email from the NRA alerting me to anti guns bills that just passed out of committee here in Tennessee. Myself and many others will be contacting our Representatives and Senators to express our views. I have been thankful for these alerts over the years that have enabled Tennessee to stop most of these bills from becoming law.
Love it, hate it, be a member or not, doesn’t really matter to me. I know some of the folks we vote for every year are good people. The problem as I see it is it’s just like our local, state and federal governments. We have abuse of power all over this country that can’t be rooted out. At least the NRA has a chance now to clean its act up. Will it happen?
Probably not but I will continue to support them for the good things they do.
Actually, you are NOT required to vote for 25 BoD members....What really bothered me was that as best I could count 17 out of the 34 names on the ballot are people who are currently on the board, and we the ”voting” members must select 25. So this means that a significant number of board members who did nothing to control King Wayne will still be on the board....
He’s not old enough to run for senate. He'll probably run for president as a democrat next.
