In hind sight, when looking back it's easy to see how they jacked us up on all this COVID BS...most of those people were guilty of not taking it seriously themselves, we should have seen that coming...

I always tried to look at my 401k for the long term. But somehow I got concerned I would be left with nothing, and I wanted to at least get into my retirement. I still have about 3 years to pay my current home off, and don't have enough to finish the house, but spent 1/2 my money on the shop.

I want to build some bolt actions and need my shop to do that. Build a special reloading area, gunsmithing area, etc...and of course I want to build the house, I am an owner-builder. But I need the gunsmithing to keep me going...

There was no proper warrant in that case. Please do your research before jumping on a bandwagon.

Edited to add that they faced tremendous pressure and ultimately caved after losing many court cases. Having a safe with a company known to store a code to open your lock in the event that you forget yours is a risk. Had the police called a locksmith for a forced entry they still would have been able to do that.

It's better to confiscate a undamaged safe.

I understand. Investing by its very nature is usually long term. Over time, history has been kind to investors as long as they don't need the funds when the market is down.

The police had a search warrant and provided the warrant to liberty safe. Had they not complied they would have broken the law and lost their business license.

Winchester safes (AKA Granite safes) also keeps combinations. About 15 years ago, bought 4 from a Sam's in Grapevine, Tx that they'd lost the paperwork for and they were locked. Gave $100 each. A notarized document got combinations for all.

My safe lock came with a primary and back up combination along with the instructions on how to change both which I promptly did. I doubt there is a third in mine.

Honestly though, there are people who should not have guns, or bad drugs, or shoot our kids in schools.
I can picture appropriate occasions to access a suspect's safe.
And when the day comes that LE is taking our guns, or cash, or vegetables from the garden,, they will take one way or another.

My ex wife called the police and told them I was suicidal. I ended up on a 96 hour hold because I would not allow them to search my phone or my gun safe. We were in the middle of a divorce and she thought the police would access the safe and she could take whatever she wanted. The police weren't able to access it though they did try using nondestructive means.

Needless to say I'm quite happy there wasn't a generic code to access it or no telling what the outcome to that would have been.

The FBI, the local Sherriff, police or any red neck with a grinder and some cut off wheels can get into a safe. But a judge has to issue a warrant that gives them the right. I they want in they are getting in!!! But who would have guessed that the company you spent thousands of dollars with to protect your valuables to roll over like a coward and give up access to safe without a court order addressed to them personally. Yes I know there was a warrant to search the house, but the files that contained that combination were not in that house. The house is in Arkansas and safe company is in Utah. i didn't mean to go on this rant but earlier i got redirected to a story on how bad poor Jim Zumbo was treated by us and the manufacturers that paid him. To me just another greedy bastard who makes money from shooters yet in reality hates us. At least the Democrats are honest about it.
