New truck time- looking for a raptor.

My 2008 Silverado (225k miles)just lost power trying to accelerate. Starts up fine and drives idles a little ruff but press the accelerator and she just don’t go. Not sure what it is. Fuel pump, clogged catalytic converter, TPS not sure.
Neighbor has a Ram like the Raptor and stays in the road very stylish and sounds good.

You should check out the tremor package on f150 and super duty. Raptors are awesome, but if you don’t want to baja and plan to tow more than you go off road it’s a decent compromise.

After owning Chevy, Dodge, and Ford I plan on keeping my 2008 Tundra which has 275,000+ miles. In recent years it has cost an alternator, water pump, and starter other than routine maintenance. With reliability and comfort, I would strike out cross country in it tomorrow and at 73yr old it will last me the rest of my life.

The Toyota 5.7L is a great engine. Seen them go for a million miles. Not many gas engines can make that claim. The beauty in Toyota is the simplicity. They don’t change much over the years when they find something that works.

We have 265k on a 1993 Chevy with the 5.7L 350. Normal wear parts replaced of course but engine is still running strong. As I said before, it’s the best engine Chevy ever made.

Also have a 1990 Dodge Ramcharger with 240k on the 5.9L LA 360 engine that runs like a top and has the original automatic transmission that’s never been rebuilt! Still shifts and drives perfectly. The old dodge 727 auto trannys are about as tough as they come.

back up plan to the raptor

just get a normal f150 with the 3.5 put the icon struts up front and icon shocks in the back. pick up the front about 2" and 35's fit like magic. tires are inside the fenders with out flares.

if you want leather and do not want the extra cost of a lariat you can get katskins put on your xlt and save some$$$$

Here is my lil girl a 2017 that has been trouble free!

Anybody have a ford raptor for sale used? I finally got my duramax out of the shop and my pocket is $6k lighter, so i have a nice 2013 ltz duramax 2500hd for sale with a very clean bill of health and full service just completed if anybody is looking. Got brand new toyo AT3 tires on it.
There is a 2020 at my local dealer with only like 5k miles I think. $73k

In 2020, Ram 1500 became the only “pick-up truck” to ever beat BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, and every other brand for the coveted “Luxury Car of the Year” award. The quality is evident when you get in one of the higher trim levels. My Longhorn is true full grain rawhide leather, not man made “p-leather” like other American truck brands use.

I bought this one today, so the search is over.
She’s a beaut!!! They are great trucks! You’re gonna love it. I think the Ram Limited models are hands down one of the nicest vehicles (car or truck) a person can buy ;)

The Ram 1500 I had before my Cummins 2500 had the Ram boxes. I actually miss them a lot. So many different uses you can find for them.

Welcome to the Mopar Nation brother!!! :)

Dusty, that's not a Raptor. Nice truck though.

My neighbor has a Roush Raptor a couple of years old. I can hear that thing start 10 acres away (which he is). Sounds badass and drives like a bad ass machine. Puts my F150 with the twin turbo 3.5 to shame and it is no slouch. He has a new R on order is is going to sell this one when he gets it.

Well tell us what it is!
Its a 19 model limited. Air suspension, hemi, 3.92 gears, true locking diff, the salesman said i could hide all my pistols in the different cubby holes. It has 30k miles and since its a dealer certified unit it has enough warranty for a while. They said there wasnt an option available this one dont have. I like the huge big screen in the dash. Theyve come a long way

Yeah Ram admits they took the 12” screen idea from Tesla. Navigation has live animation and the surround camera system is next level. I really like how you can check your trailer hitch or cargo in your bed while driving. It’s saved my ass a few times when I forgot a loose item on the trailer or forgot to hook up my lights. The front camera is awesome for pulling into parking spots or when turning in right areas. Can also control your factory auto-deploy motorized running boards from the screen.

While it is a "beast" DO NOT off road it very hard. I watched a video (when they first came out) of a guy test driving it on rough terrain and the air bags deployed. Note: If you look under the hood of the RAM TRX is has a picture of a T-Rex eating a Raptor and for good reason ; )

Dan
You don't think Baja is offroading??? Look, you can break anything, airbags will not deploy without an impact in certain places on the vehicle, any vehicle.
