First trip out I discovered I was over gassed. I wasn't in my mojo that day either. So, I'm holding judgement till I try again with new adjustable gas block and clean slate brain. How does the rifle shoot? That is not uncommon in my experience.
Thought the same at first, looks as though the drill bit didn't punch completely through. I think that's just the angle of the camera though as the opposite side on the land is round. It looks like the barrel metal is squared at the hole
Sure wouldn't hurt to try it though.Thought the same at first, looks as though the drill bit didn't punch completely through. I think that's just the angle of the camera though as the opposite side on the land is round.
Ah yes, its an optical illusion. The hole is circular.Sure wouldn't hurt to try it though.
I was always told not to introduce solvents or oils in the gas tube. Foaming bore cleaners I use leave a sticky residue if not patched out.stick a patch on a rod at that spot , fill gas tube with foaming bore cleaner u using a small tube to fit inside gas tube . Let sit .
Alcohol or acetone? I love me some foaming bore cleaner!Clean it out with naptha or other . Every ar I use gets a shot of foaming bore cleaner ! , patch dry , lightly oil . I use military clp but any cleaner you use is going in the tube . Just blow it out .
