30BR

I don’t have any, but trust me they shot great, but that barrel would shoot anything it was truly a hummer won lots of fake wood back from 2008 to 2014 18 Twist pac-nor 30x47 !

I am finishIng up a batch of 100 Peterson 7BR to 30BR. So far the only troubles I have encountered are the 3 pieces I bit the shoulder turning the necks. After 1 cycle fireforming, it appears to hold a grain less than my Lapua brass.

Let us know how it shoots with the brass and load data. Less powder and same or better results is always better - I think?

Will do. The first time through fireforming I was using 33.0gr of LT-32 under a 110gr V-Max. I then tried 34.0 and put 3 shots in one hole. Switched shooters and she had a 3 in one hole group and a flier, and 2 four shot groups with 4 holes. Next time out we try 35.0 grains.

Rifle was dirty, we were running out of light, wind was blowin'.... I know they are excuses, but it keeps me thinking there is something to pursue here.

Something different with the 30 BR?

I had a reamer made with a longer throat to shoot heavier bullets. 1 in 10 twist 22" #7 profile. Have shot up to 175 gr bullets but mostly shoot 168s. It is a SA Rem 700 in a Rem laminate stock with a picatinny rail. Timney trigger. It is a repeater and feeds the cartridges very smoothly. It is lots of fun to shoot and is the test bed for any scope with an issue.

Currently using 168 Hornady match bullets with necked up 6 BR Lapua brass with IMR 8208 XBR, velocity 2490 fps.

Brass is neck turned brass so I get .001" neck tension using a RCBS FL die without sizer ball. It is very accurate and lots of fun to shoot year round.

I realize most 30 BR shooters are competitors, just thought I would share.

Showing one group is meaningless. Showing the entire set of groups shows a better example of what a rifle is capable of.
Fascinating. Exactly where I landed. Using 115 Berger’s for lack of anything better. I’m to shoot tomorrow again to confirm the charge. I’ll try and post a pic of the target.
How is your 30br work up going. Still waiting on that target. :)
