It's kind of like if Hodgdon started using 1/2 oz bottles As powder containers.

amen! Was thinking - you want to be annoyed, by Federal primers in 5x larger packaging. So damn annoying.I think it's still better than the huge Federal primer containers.

That wouldn't fix the problem. Getting them freed from that tape is dang near impossible.I've had a lot that were taped, take your knife and cut tape, top and bottom of tray ! and done
Wolf had tape on their primer trays. Two swipes with a sharp knife or a box opener and wala! Just for the record. I did spill 2 trays of 100 each back when I was in my teens. Walked around in the store with them, Shifted my grip and one tray slid completely out of sleeve. Other tray only partially dumped. Found all but a few. Coke bottle deposit was 3 cents way back then if I remember correctly. CCI sleeves can be very loose on the trays to very tight. The very tight ones are the one's I hate.

I'll trade you those pita primers for some slightly used ones WITHOUT tape!
Be thankful you have primers. Packaging is pretty secondary.
I'll be 100% fair here on this subject. By the looks of the picture garandman posted, it's just idiotic for them to be taped off like that.
