ThanksYes I would recommend it . I was very pleased with the results.
Yes, I read their web site. I have had good luck with the tennex. My chamber was cut for the Eley ammo. Thank you for your responce.Be aware that the Eley Test Center only tests with Tenex and has a minimum purchase of 1/2 case.

Really appreciate the information, I live in Indiana and will have to ship barreled action to them. This is way to go. I have a new build and have not shot it due to weather, Wondering how many down the pipe it should have before sending, I will call and ask. Thank youI made a two day road trip from Albuquerque to Winters, Texas last May with an overnight stay in Sweetwater. Met John Killough at the Killough/Eley test facility which was an impressive setup. Barrelled action came out of the stock and was bolted into a purpose built stand that had to weigh at least 800 pounds and was securely anchored to the concrete floor. We shot several 40 shot groups from lots that had been the best performers in previous customers tests. Then 10 shot groups of the best performers in the 40 shot tests. The rifle was cleaned between the 40 and 10 shot groups and fouled with Tenex which I brought with me. everything is computerized with all shooting into an electronic target system 50 meters downrange in an enclosed 3 foot diameter tube.
Nothing was rushed during the testing as I was the only person scheduled to test that day.
Here are pics of some of the lots tested. I came home with a case (5k rounds) of the best performing lot and bought another case 4 months later. Yeah, I lucked out with that decision given the current ammo situation.
The best I've shot with this ammo is a back to back 2400 and 2300.

Thanks for information. Thats pnly a couple of hrs from me.We are to have our rifles tested this week at the Ohio Lapua site. They recommended a minimum of 200 rounds down the barrel prior to testing.
Call Lapua, see about taking your rifle to test their ammo, it's a great and enlightening experience. Thanks for information. Thats pnly a couple of hrs from me.
Did yours have tuner and if so how did they test with it?Call Lapua, see about taking your rifle to test their ammo, it's a great and enlightening experience.
A very high up ARA Unlimited shooter (high up on the HOF chart) also had good luck testing with the Eley test center - ammo purchased has added many HOF points to his tally.Has anyone sent there 22 to the Eley testing center in Tx for lot testing? If so would you recommend it? Thanks
Yeppers, mine is wearing a Harrells tuner. I had it dialed in before going, used the Purdy method plus some fine tuning after the fact. Since then, a good friend has given me his take on sending/taking a rimfire rifle for testing. He would take the tuner off to test for the best lot, shooting the gun nekkid. After finding that lot, he would install the tuner to fine tune the rifle. If I had it to do over, I would have a serious talk with the folks at Lapua or Eley about doing the initial testing this way. I can see the validity of this in my tiny little mind. I believe Killoughs offers tuner tuning, call and ask.Did yours have tuner and if so how did they test with it?
Thanks again for all the valuable information, I am going to have to get a few hundred rounds through it before I can send. The weather here is not good suppose to be single digits for next 2 wks. No indoor 50 yrd ranges local. Havent been able to shoot it. I also have a Harrels tuner. I am presuming you shoot off one piece rest, there is a place that shoots 25yrd but no place for rest.Yeppers, mine is wearing a Harrells tuner. A couple of very important things to keep in mind if you are planning to take or send your rifle to be tested:
Call and speak with the person who does the testing, not just the person who answers the phone.
Most important, at this time of ammo scarcity, do they have a good supply of current lots to test with. Do they have a good amount of those lots for you to buy. You do not want to be short changed on either.
Do they want the gun sent after you do a deep cleaning. Do they want you to foul the gun before you take/send it or will they do it previous to testing. If you are to do the fouling, how many rounds? They will probably want you to foul it with their ammo so the barrel is coated with the same lube as the ammo you want tested...Lapua Xact, Eley Tenex.
What are their thoughts on testing with/without the tuner. Will they dial in the tuner for you?
Ask detailed questions regarding the procedure, how many lots will be tested, how many shots from each lot, the procedure for parring down the lots.
Any other items you think are important.
And for double damn sure, give us a follow up report.
Very nice, looks alot like mine. Cliff Arnold.Be patient, wait for better weather. More time to fondle your new gun.
Shooting off a one piece rest I made a couple of years ago. The rest in the background belongs to a friend. I patterned mine after it.View attachment 1232358
Beautiful rifle, what action and barrel?Very nice, looks alot like mine. Cliff Arnold.
Dont get much better. The rest was in fact modeled after a Cliff Arnold which is the rest in the background.
The rifle is Turbo V1 action, Muller 7 groove barrel, Harrells tuner, Bix N Andy trigger and a Lidgard stock. The rifle wears a NightForce 42x43 Competition scope.
Needless to say, it shoots very well.
