>>>>>The SECRET.... 6.5 CAROLINA LOAD<<<<<<

Going to load up some any try'em at 1000 and see how they do.
He's wanting to hunt with the gun so I'll try some of the others and
get him a hunting load too.
Got a friend that might brang his over this evening and load
a few to try in his. Its a creed too so I'm sure it'll shoot too.
I'm even going to ware my "special" necklace when I load his so
we might not even have to shoot'em...LOL

Oh...it is the real deal !!!
Creedmoer all the way....
I'm off Monday so I'll report when I can stretch it out.
Ain't worried...I had my neck!ace on when I loaded it.
Thunderstorm came through and power went off just
as I got the last 1 loaded, figured that was all I needed to load
to make it to 1000...maybe a sign...you think ???

I was using Winchester brass in one gun (LRP) and Starline in the other (SRP). Use what you got, if you have some. I have even shot some .243 converted to 6.5 Hornady brass (not with this load though, just for initial barrel break in and load testing).

what site is that
How did you clean your barrel and how much time was it between those groups in the pic with the Carolina load #5 and 6. That would drive me nuts shooting a spread out group like that then later with the same exact load it's the best of the day. I keep hearing about cleaning if you switch powders but this is the fist visual evidence I am seeing for this issue. Also you guys are shooting those axis' pretty nice I must say.

they were all shot with my savage FV cabelas rifle. I shot group 5 right behind that other powder in groups 1-4. When I saw how bad my Carolina load was shooting, i knew it had to be the powder residue in the barrel. I went home and sprayed some Wipe Out in the barrel and left it over night. Next day I brushed the bore 6 times and rag wiped it clean. Went back to the range and shot those three bullets... much to my relief.... soooo.... I learned once again to NOT shoot different powder loads on top of each other. If I had my cleaning stuff with me at the range, I'm sure a quick clean would have been enough.

PS... I'm not sure about the 2.800 being part of the secret... that's just what my rifles seem to like... which is 0.80 off in my savage fv

Bowhunting is my #1 hunting passion, and I am also messing too much with this rifle stuff. I start bowhunting next week and I haven't even shot my bow yet. I must have the Creedmoor Virus.
