I am really glad I looked on gunbroker to see what people are selling it for. One of the price gougers is a gun shop that I stop into from time to time while at camp. I will not step foot in that store again. I can understand an average Joe trying to make a buck on some surplus powder that is in high demand, but a gun store keeping a product off their shelf to try to rip someone off on gunbroker does not need my money.

I bought 16 pounds from Crow Shooting Supply today. They had a pallet of H-4350.

I don't know about RL16; my sources tell me that the perfect substitute for 4350 is RL 17. I picked up 5 pounds last week and I'm going to do some research this weekend.

NO. What you want is Reloder SIXteen, RL16.

It is very accurate. Very temp stable, pretty clean, and some guys are seeing a small speed gain over H4350. RL 17 is a good powder but the one you want to replace H 4350 is RL 16.

You are exactly right! I have found it to be a better powder than H4350!

RL-16 and RL-23 are or are at least tested by Alliant to be VERY temp Insensitive. Right on the container it says "Stable at temp extremes"...

I got 8lbs of imr4451 from 3rd gen. For me its actually been slightly better than h4350 in the 6.5cm.

RL16 and RL17 are really very different -- different chemistrys. Reloder 16 is far more temp stable. However, RL17 can yield much-higher-than-average velocities in some cartridges -- you just need to keep temps in mind.
