What were the "burn" times for #3, 4 & 5?
6, 7, 8 sec.
Have they changed the tempilac? My 750° stuff is green. Also I just put a vertical strip inside the case mouth or on the outside from just below the shoulder to the top of the case mouth.
It is green. When it dries, looks more white than green.
I've never used in that quantity before. That might be the difference. What is your amp draw? What case is that?

6.5x47Lapua. Max amp drawing 11.5-11.9 with 47V.
If you have the material try another coil wound in the oposite direction yours is now. I found that that the process seemed to originate from the left side of the board. So having the top of the coil come from the left side should decrease annealing time. This is how I made the coil.

Sorry anri I was looking at the pic of the other unit that was built in a pc case. But you do have an extra turn in your coil. That will effect the the process also.

Might also help to post a picture of a case being annealer to show how it's positioned in the coil.
Made a mistake. Shorted two upper coil turns with small resistor leg as jumper.
It took a second two to get two turns darkened.
I looks like the 7 sec, was the best, it stopped just at the start of the neck. Maybe go 7.3-7.5 sec to go just a little lower.

It's going to be hard. Tempilaq is suppose to be used in a way that allows you to see the stuff melt, since you cannot see the case when it is annealing. What I would suggest you do is to take a photo of the case with Tempilaq before you put it in and then after and look for significant changes.
