You know you are getting older when..............

When you started bow hunting you used your dad's old solid fiberglass longbow. The new fancy recurves with fiberglass limbs were too expensive.

Remember Winky Dink and You....for 50 cents you got a clear green sheet of plastic, piece of flannel eraser and a box of 5 crayons.

The plastic stuck to the front of the TV screen by static elecetricity... when Winky Dink got in trouble, the screen would freeze and the announcer would describe what you needed to draw on the screen to get him out of trouble...like an arch (bridge) over a river...minute later the cartoon resumed.

Remember getting your arm close to the screen and the hair on your arm would srand up?

Winky Dink.....yeah. My younger bro got one, would barely share - by giving me the least used colors. :/

"Youhoo, It's me, my name is Pinky Lee, I skip and run and have lots of fun for you and me...."

"Hey, hey kids...what time is it.....It's Houdy Douty time......"

"Oh, ho, ho McGoo, you've done it again....:

"Well King, it looks like this case is closed..."

"Out of the western skies comes Sky Kiiiing"

Lone Ranger, American Bandstand, Three Stooges, Popeye and Olive Oyl, Looney Tunes, Jackie Gleason Show and in Philly we had Chief Halftown and Sally Starr hosting afternoon cartoons.

Geez, that ain't old! I was a Grandfather then.[/QUOTEI

I hear you but that was the oldest one I still had. They were the same back in the '50s & '60s. The game commissions went full blown gotta have an attorney accompany you in the field back in the '70s.

When you have spent 4 days pressure washing and painting your house and only half way done.... The you're old part comes in when you're as sore as I am right now... Plus I forget 25 years ago how much standing on a ladder all day sucks... My shoulders , back , knees , feet and hands are reminding me daily.... At 51 I am not terribly old but definitely not 21 anymore....

Try 75....you sound like you're using a roller; I'm using a sprayer, 2 step laders and a 2X10 for scaffolding to walk on. Start on the west side of the house and follow the sun end up on the eastside in the evening; mostly shade all day. The up and down is a killer, but at least there is a break by walking the plank.

Trim the next day and yes some of it is by brush. Got my Aleve PM, and easy chair that helps me stand up. Next paint job will be the kids or whomever they sell it.

Yes sir , rollers and brushes... My wife matched the paint so close in full sun you can't see were you have painted so I will have to chase the shade all day... Taking today and tomorrow off due to high temps (93+) it will be cool on Tuesday so I will start again then.... You have my utmost respect for doing it at 75 , it sucks at 51 lol.... My wife decided she was going to take the day off and help me yesterday.... She's not moving to fast today..lol... This year it's been record breaking hot in central Texas , the hottest September in 120 years etc so I am waiting on the cooler days to get it done... The scaffolding is a great idea , I climb the ladder more up and down than actually painting... I am sure we both will get it knocked out but I agree on the next time , the next paint job will be done by someone else.... Have a great day and be safe sir...

Rsadams- yup, 93 is a good high for Phoenix. Started prep this spring but summer arrived too quickly; 105 - 110 so other projects moved to the top of the list. After house then I can start reloading in the garage as temps continue to go down.

Road along the lakeshore.
Side road to boat launch.
Bicycle path crosses both.
If people need this much instruction they are a public menace and should stay home, as are the groups who fleeced the taxpayers to require and provide the signs.
I take exception to all the above.

Same here , I have had heat stroke to many times in 2011 during a massive forest fire here were we lost everything so I can't do the summer heat anymore... My reloading room is in my back bedroom so everything I load has been sitting on shelves ready to go for months now , just to hot to go shoot... Summer here is about the same and when winter comes it goes from 100 to cold in one day , we didn't have fall this year so I am scared if I don't get this done asap it will be in the 30s one morning which is coming... I shoot big rifles or rifles in general during the winter , so that times coming for me I hope... Last year it rained all winter so I didn't even shoot them just stuck with pistols... Well good luck to you sir on your project and most of all be safe on the tall stuff.. we have a front coming through so I am stuck waiting till Tuesday to get started up again... I am not complaining I could use a few days to let some of the sore in my back and shoulders ease up a little....
