I read an article that highlighted the success of Ivermectin in I believe it was India. About a week later I read that the US government medical authorities on health care/Covid we're against using it. I think that you hit the nail on the head with "follow the money".
If you go to the link that OKBoomer posted you will get info on Ivermectin. I'm sure glad that our hospital and doctor prescribed it.

Yep had the origional Covid 19 in March 2020. Near 104 fever, body aches like I have never had before, loss of taste and smell, but no lung/breathing issues.
This one is the Delta variant with everything except the high fever, at a lower lever. Body aches not near as bad. Only 100.9 max this time. Kind of like comparing full strength beer to lite beer. O2 saturation back up to high 80's.
Don't think doc's lean towards Ivermectin. 3 cents a tablet vs. how much for remdesivir or one of the other antivirals? Or if you have a farm and ranch supply the Ivervmectin horse wormer paste I have read about. I know the TV talking heads and Docs get quite upset about it, saying not approved in the US, but never anything on how the rest of the world uses it. Think its quite common over the world just not here. Apple flavored stuff isn't awful, think flavored wall paper paste.

Ivermectin is more common in third world countries It is only a small part of a medicine used to treat worms. I would not take it straight for any other conditions. I have loads of the stuff as I have cattle the stuff I use is a pour on. I get it on my skin occasionally accidentally but would never use it intentionally.

Sunshine creates some vitamin D that is good for covid… you may want to consider taking some in pill form in addition to zinc…
Scientists can't replicate that with vitamin D supplements. But people with high vit. D levels have better COVID outcomes, supplements don't do it though in tests. Which probably means that it's some other chemical your body creates soaking up the sun. Sun good.

+1 on this, our local animal vet came out strong against using animal ivermectin. They said they had one guy messing around with the liquid form and he spilt a little on the floor then a puppy licked it, caused puppy to go blind and have seizures. There’s human grade forms of it you can get if you want it.

Don't know about for humans other than it apparently was quite effective in India. I used it for decades in dogs. It can be given orally or subcutaneous. Besides as a wormer it is effective as a treatment for mange.

I pushed after lunch today and cut up half a maple for fire wood. I felt great while doing it so maybe activity helps. As soon as I sat down I felt like crap again. May hit the reloading bench tomorrow before and after Facebook live church service depending on how I feel in the morning.

I am not antivax, I had and still have a lot of questions that seem to have various answers. The long term effect of the “jab” will probably be a long time coming as far as side effects.
FYI I went and got my first “jab” even though I am not in total agreement with it.
I had some side effects that seem common, nausea, sore joints, headache and a rash that moved around. Four days now and I seem ok.

Suffice to say I work in the field and have more than a little knowledge on the technology. I had dinner in Germany a few years ago with the now-billionaire who invented the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.

Literally no vaccine has had serious adverse events crop up >6 months post shot. That's the thing about vaccines, they are only in your system a few days. That's why it was able to get emergency use authorization off of such a short data set -- adverse events just don't crop up way down the road with vaccines. It's literally never been observed. These aren't chronic medications you're taking and constantly exposing your body.

Study the protocols here: https://covid19criticalcare.com/
These docs take a data-driven approach to back up what they say. Make your own decisions and consult with your doc. Timing is critical to reduce viral replication.
So they did a meta-analysis (weak and unreliable study type) of largely non-peer reviewed and even unpublished data to support use of the drug. And now we have people toting this over vaccines which have been massively studied in well-controlled, randomized trials.

And this is what people believe.

Heaven help us. People believe what aligns with their pre-conceived opinions, science be damned. Seriously, take this information to your doctor and talk about it.

We have a local Dr. that prescribes ivermectin for C19. I use the liquid form to worm my dogs. The margin bw an effective dose and an overdose for dogs is about 200 fold.

I lost a first cousin, 48 days younger than me, last summer.

My wife's company hired a new HR Director. She was supposed to start on a Monday and contracted C19 the weekend bf she started. She died this past week without ever working a day. She was late-30's.

Get the vax if you haven't.

My theory on this and all other possible alternative treatments is . You can't get emergency use authorization on a experimental anything if there are alternative treatments . When you think about it , it makes perfect sense . If there are other treatments available where's the emergency ???

Where I might differ on what others think is I believe there were good intensions in that policy in the beginning . I think the government thought the real way out of a world wide pandemic was a vaccine and not treatment/s . Again when you think about it it makes perfect sense . Treatments require you to be diagnosed with the virus , meaning you have to get it and likely can transmit it to others . They did not want that as there method of fighting it so they discouraged any alternative treatments in order to get the emergency authorization . It's a numbers game right , we loose an extra 100k lives now by not allowing alternative treatments to save millions later maybe even 10's of millions throughout the world . If they allowed real trials of any of the alternative treatments to go forward or not debunk them before they gain traction they would have never been able to get the emergency atheization . You can thank big tech for censoring real debate on this . Think about it , it's pushing on 2 years and there are NO American studies saying one way or another if any of the alternative treatments work or not . WTF you can come up with a completely new vaccine and run it through full trials in 8 months but NOBODY can run trials in a 2 year span on any of the meds already on the market for other ailments that are proven safe to use in humans for over 20+ years ??? There's something a foot going on here

That said about them having good intensions at first , once implemented it became all about the money !!!! I think in 10 , 20 , 30 years from now we are going to find out some pretty messed up stuff the government did along with the private sector to make that all happen .

I agree with your description of the quality of data they hang their hat on- it's poor. Minor correction: meta analyses are the gold standard for pooling high quality data and statistically increasing the power of a study to detect differences in outcomes. If I need clinical guidance and there's a good meta analysis, it's what I'll use.

That said, I'm not gonna argue the covid critical care website guys point by point. I will say, their claims are incorrect. More importantly, every one of them I've looked into has a stain on their records. I know docs who trained with some of them- they were the idiots in med school. They're the used car salesmen. They're narcissists. Liars.

Back when I practiced academic medicine I ran 2-3 different journal clubs a week teaching medical students and residents how to critically appraise scientific literature. There's not reliable data for ivermectin, but I won't dump on it. What I will say is don't rely on it, or any other over the counter/alternative treatment. If there was a miracle cure, you couldn't threaten us with anything to keep us from offering it. We're folks just like y'all and our families are dying of it too.

To the OP, best of luck.

To say there are no drugs being used in the treatment is not true however. They have tried several other antivirals such as remdisiver amongst others. They did do tests with cloroxiquine and it proved to not help the outcomes of patients. If you want to put your head in the sand and be a denier thats fine but dont spread miss information. There is enough of that going around confusing people and slowing the way out of this pandemic.

Very best of luck to you Broke!

I had it,and can't remember if it was before or after getting poked? It put me on the couch for 2 weeks but.....

In the last cpl years had a widowmaker, especially nasty heart attack. Lymes disease. And a high speed M/C "getoff"(wreck,binned,trashed,)..... I'd rate the CZ 19 about middle of the pack. Had a little "baby" heart attack this past Friday from working outside in near 100* temps. Wifey is all freaked out,I'm like.... what's for dinner?

The very best to you though broke, hope you can get back to the loading room very soon!

Then there is this scenario
They tell us to get a covid test. We test positive, then find out that the test itself is only about 60% correct, false positives.

Then we want to go to the doctor to get treatment. The doctor doesn't want to se you if you have a positive test. Should you make it to their office, they check your temperature and if you have a fever you are sent home.

You call the doctor to get something sent to the pharmacy for treatment. He says that he can't give you anything because he must see you first.

OK, then make me an appointment. No I don't see patients that have tested positive on an unreliable test.

One big circle jerk similar to wearing masks that don't work even thou you have had the vaccine. And half of the covid cases are people that have had the vaccine.

And if you have natural immunity, that counts for nothing and still have to have the vaccine and wear a mask.

I would pull my hair out if there was enough left to grab.

Ivermectin, Quercetin, zinc, Vitamin D (including walking in the sunshine).
The ONLY doctor you can trust at this point is one who would concede that he can legally do nothing for you other than prescribe oxygen. That you're on your own..

Nobody really dies from COVID.
They die from neglect after a COVID diagnosis.
Even if what you really had was a bad flu or a heart condition, but testing positive for COVID: zero treatment..
You're on your own.
